Why? He can't add conditions to the reward after the fact. He didn't think it through properly. He was just trying to get out of paying the reward money. It was his cockiness that led to his problems. Clearly R-Les isn't worth multi millions to the point that he could pay off the reward with no problem like he made it seem. The fact he gave up his whole music catalogue rights to pay off the reward just shows you he had no money and probably greatly regretted offering up an amount he knew he could not pay.

After my friend's laptop was stolen when he left it in his car. I'd never make that mistake in my life. And if I ever lose a laptop with valuables, I ensure I have at least three copies of those valuables in other storage devices. He couldn’t replace Cassie with any of those models. Unfortunate!
