When Nip found Iddris (who I know personally) he was coding in a corner at a Starbucks, David Gross was scrambling around L.A looking for someone to back his Vector 90 play. Most importantly he was able to invision what the second and third phases of what those partnerships would look like, that was his brilliance.

Since we all agree that Ryan Leslie is genius, might I extend the notion that a genius qualifies as such after crossing the thresHOLDs of normality? I've noticed a lot of comments sharing the narrative that he's underrated. Respectfully deliberated, it is my opinion that neither he nor his work is (currently) underrated. Even when you dissect his fall-back (after a traumatic experience) option as his best resolve, you'll conclude him as a master-contriver. This has many results, including the cloak of "out of sight and out of mind." In this cloak, one can continue without distractions. Plainly I say that the gems in this interview are going to change the music industry forever. Similar to when RYAN first changed the industry by using pre-sells of his album for budgeting the record by the release date. GENIUS!

Leslie, knows how to respond eloquently. When he said that rapping maybe alienated his fan base, due to how his 10 year anniversary played out which focused on his first two albums. Charlemagne couldn't even go further on that since the was no leeway left since RL admits it cannot be proved even with anecdotal evidence.

You can easily tell that CTG didn't really WANNA like Ryan, but he simply couldn't help it. He also couldn't derail Ryan with any of his negativity, nor could he refute any of Ryan's points and ideas. He simply lacked any intellectual contributions for the conversation. All he had to say was "WORD". Ryan engineered the entire interview, Envy was unusually a non-factor and Angela Yee was in rare form, fully immersed by the content. She was a star amongst her colleagues here. Great interview.
@isvvx
@isvvx 4 жыл бұрын
Facts, you could Tell Yee was genuinely engaged & CTG felt a way from the start; He kept trying to downplay Ryan with questions from whatever tabloid-esque source he kept citing.. Ryan would just shrug off his BS, give him a highly intelligent & leave CTG sitting there looking foolish time after time.

Envy couldn't engage b/c Ryan was def talking about people like him when he talked about scarcity mindset. Envy is like that. I'll never forget when Mark Whitten came on to teach us about wholesaling and Envy almost lost his mind when he thought Mark was telling us (the audience) about deals he didn't tell Envy about first. It was really telling of his hoarder's mindset. He's ok with you being successful, as long as he's more successful and successful before you.
