I was a huge fan of The Fugees and Lauryn Hill. It’s bulls*** how she tried to lie to the world that “the miseducation” was all her and cheat so many others out of their due credit and share. Then tried again on her following album making people sign off their credit or “do it for God.” Then still got in trouble for attempting to dodge $2.5 million in taxes. Then kept up these relationships with men she knew was married and playing the fence as they pleased between her and the wives. That mess will eff up a woman at the soul level, it’s terribly destructive, it’s fatiguing just hearing about it. Her downfall was her continuing to live foolishly one way or another. There is no way to continue to live life wrong and things not go haywire in an ugly spiral. She had something awry in her spirit of wanting things that were not hers with seemingly little regard for who what belonged to, in her relationships, her creative projects, money, etc. 😟😔😢 No judgement, just stating the hard truth of life. If this stuff is at all true this is a sad story, she claimed herself a wise woman but lived like a fool and paid a price…and Wyclef is a flippin’ mess, yuck. 😣 I’m sorry I saw this.

It is always great wisdom to check out the mind before the midsection. Women---especially beautiful talented ones have to be very careful not to sell themselves short. KNOW THY WORTH! This is where strong, involved parenting and mentoring can prove to be life-changing. Your life will be a powerful magnet to all sorts. The counterfeits have a way of being most compelling in their arguments as well as their general persona. Remember Eve! Parents begin to talk to your kids about the importance of choosing a suitable life partner, even before puberty. Seek the Lord and pray before calamities land on the doorsteps. Unfortunately, most women know what they want, but many don't have the strength and confidence to firmly make their request(s) known before any entanglement.

I believe MTV Unplugged was her masterpiece and hers alone. There was too much hubris on her part with MOLH. She had too much to prove with everybody and that's why things went down as it did. She took up the guitar, wrote every song, and that album was ten times realer than MOLH.

What Lauryn did was wrong. You can't claim sole writing and production credit when others were helping you write and produce the songs. Then get mad when they want their credit and money? How dare she make folks sign a waiver on her second album to give her sole credit even though they were helping her with the songs? I guess her own lyrics caught up with her: "Until you do right all you do will go wrong". Then she asked those folks to work for free?

Ms. Hill deserves much more respect than what's given to her. This queen only has one album (not including MTV) and 20 years later they're still smashes and she's selling out shows. I can only imagine it's the younger generations complaining about her live arrangements. I loved every bit. If you want to listen to the album version, just play it. I saw her in 2015 and it was hands down the best experience musically and she was not late...Only she can tell her story. She's so private, all one can really do is speculate. But, she has beautiful kids and a grandchild and is still blessing us with her voice and wisdom.

Lauryn Hill’s MTV Unplugged album is probably one of my favourite albums. It ministers to me on a different level and whenever I’m in a dark place in my life and seeking clarity and peace that’s when I put it on. So many sleep on that album but it’s so raw, thought provoking and healing to the soul. Lauryn Hill will always be one of my favourite artists despite of all that she’s gone through.

She lost herself in Rohan Marley, she gave up her dreams to please him, overall she fell into depression

Joan Givens Thank you for telling the truth! People are trying to blame the Illuminati, religion, etc. She is a great talent who made wrong choices and lost the opportunity to ride the wave during her season. Life happens.

Ironic....He left African beauty for white beauty..... Let me know of a Marley that is faithful to one woman at a time; I would love to know so I can give him his props. Lol! Ok.....at least one that is reserved when it comes to women, meaning have a lot of self control......

He allegedly listed himself on a dating site as single. They have many children, but sadly, he never commuted to Lauren. She, evidently, loves him deeply.

Lauryn Hill is still the "Real Thing." as far as I'm concerned, an Authentic Sister. Both thumbs-up for this long-awaited report, respect.

Hey, Lauryn Hill is so real to the point when she got jammed up. The singer Prince covered all her bills and gave dough to her family. I agree, she is the Real Thing, and well loved.

Wyclef is a musical genius, but complete trash as a romantic partner. I heard he left a lot of people hanging with his Yéle Haiti charity. His messiness may merit a future video.

Growing up during the introduction of hip hop/rap music, as a teenager I only listed to this type of music. Years later, while still in that frame of mind, Lauren Hill released her album. I never bought R&B music but after hearing one of her songs, I purchased it and must have listened to it a 1000 times. A album with 90% of the songs on it as hits! 👍

I have always loved Lauryn Hill as a teenager growing up, but I never would've imagined all the stuff she went through. She always struck me as a very poised, socially, and spiritually conscious lady. I'm happy to know that despite all her struggles she never resorted to doing drugs as far as we know. I would love to see her bounce back with her beautiful music.

Living in JA for any period of time and hooking up with a Marley, I am POSITIVE she smokes weed! Probably the reason why she is never on time for her concerts! LOL!!!!
