She's female, so anytime a woman or girl gets in trouble, it's always her fault in many people's eyes. Look at Britney Spears right now. She was sexualized from the time she was 16. We see some of the results of that. A lot of young female singers from the 90s and 2000s have had serious issues. As someone who had an abusive, manipulative parent, I'm not blaming anyone except the adult abuser. When you're a kid, you don't know what to do with yourself, and hopefully you have adults in your life who can show you the way. It sounds like in Lauryn and many other young female artists' cases, that didn't happen. The adults used her for what they wanted and - you know what? Where's Chris Hansen when you need him?

Life and heartache may have taken a toll on Lauryn Hill. But, she is STILL one of the most STUNNING artists I've ever seen. Good ol' Howard Stern and Robin. 🙄 It would've been foolish to cancel Lauryn over her comments. I hate how what she said was misconstrued. She more than likely wanted to use her music to uplift her own people. She's a fellow May 26er and she has one of the most DISTINCTIVE voices ever! Hope she'll get the help she needs in regards to current vocal strain. 🙏🏾

That Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is huge. It has sold nearly 30 million copies globally and is one of the world's greatest selling album of all time. It broke many records like multiple Grammys including Album of year, went #1 on Billboard 200, and had a #1 hit with "Doo Woop/ That Thing" plus the album went Diamond by the RIAA with 10 million units sold in America alone😮😮😮 Plus lets not forget it was inducted into the National Library of Congress and is Auntie Lauryn's only album. I personally believe that Auntie Lauryn didnt want to keep selling herself to the demonic industry. Allegedly, in order to get #1 hits, albums, awards and mega success, you have to pay up to the elites and i believe she didnt want to continue selling herself to them. Notice how she was blacklisted, her image was tarnished and she went to jail after leaving the higher echelons of the industry. I believe she pissed the elites off allegedly. Will she make another album, maybe independently, but an album like her 1st, no because she is not selling herself to the elites no more and she does not have the industry backing that she once did allegedly.

Whenever I hear about a young female artist from the 90s and 2000s who mysteriously disappeared or ended up messed up, it pisses me off as a man. Someone call Chris Hansen. All she wanted to do was sing and these highly created, older guys she looked up to used her and screwed her up. When you're 18, most of your decisions are going to be impulsive and not well thought out. It's up to the adults in your life to make sure you don't fall off a cliff. From the sounds of things, a lot of those grown men pushed her off the cliff.

She was always overrated to me. Don’t get me wrong, She’s a good artist. But i always felt that her reputation as this “musical genius” was inflated and exaggerated. Musical Geniuses are able to “make magic” multiple times. Michael Jackson, Prince, and other geniuses made multiple classics. Lauryn has only one album (an album that literally details a side chick scorned). One that she claimed to have done all the work on and got sued for telling that lie. I just find it interesting that after all these years, Lauryn has yet to create “another classic”.
