Also I don't really get how this would be legal, they just walk up to a random person who they think is foreign, that just has racial profiling screaming all over it which is and was back then too, very illegal in Europe and an easy way to get your officer career short-ended... Seems like a little project from an over-enthusiastic customs and immigration office manager really, send out some untrained/undertrained officers and hope to catch a 'Bin Laden' and make headlines for being the officer who caught some major criminal... I highly doubt any of this would be legal within Europe, I highly doubt this stop was legal in the UK either, though it appears at least in the UK, customs officers can enter a home without a warrant as long as they have permission from their supervisor so they do appear to have significantly more power than the standard police officer.

That leaves so much room for prejudice, both unconscious and purposeful. Think about it, if a certain group or ethnicity of persons is deemed more ‘suspicious’ for the simple fact that they look that way, then more of that ethnicity will be found and deported and ethnicities the agent views as ‘normal’ or not suspicious will not be checked as much and will have less deportations. It’s obvious how horrible this way of handling this is. What people do not realize is...that these criminals have already, blatantly violated your country's law...and they have already committed a crime...and they will do it again. There are hundreds of thousands of people legally awaiting to get their 'entry permits' to enter a certain country, but these people think that they somehow are 'more important', or 'better' than those who are trying to do it legally. And then that other guy...who became aggressive for no reason...and resisted arrest on top of that...he deserved a jail time with a 'record' in the police data base...I have no idea why police let him go so easily. In his own country of origin, ask him what would've happened if he tried that with the police. And...his outburst to the police lady: "...you don't talk to me like that."
