I don’t think people understand how brave her humanitarian work was. Not even I would shake hands with someone with lepracy, because the disease horrified me and I’d be too scared to contract it. That’s probably more out of my own ignorance of the disease, but millions of others felt that way. Meanwhile she confidentially walks right up to those poor victims and shake their hands, breathes the same air they do, without a care in the world what it might do to her. The message that sends is so powerful. It was the same with her work with AIDS victims, back when people wrongly believed you could contract aids just by being in the same room as someone with the disease. She opened so many peoples eyes to the disease. Not to mention when she walked through land mines…. I mean what warrior of a woman she was.

I remember the day Diana died till this day very clearly. I was in high school, final year. I barged into my mother's bedroom and I saw her crying over some TV news, i turned my head and watched Diana's coffin and her boys walking behind it. I was devastated and cried so much that day and for days after. I always looked up to her as a great example for kind, compassionate and glamorous woman. She is always in our heart, the Queen of our hearts. Rest in peace angel. We love you.

I just believe that if your gonna have an open marriage/partnership you both need to agree on that. Diana reacted in the way any attractive woman with a normal sexual appetite should have reacted. @@justsandra71 To many things do not add up, about her death in the French Tunnel, No lights working that night in the French Tunnel, Diana's security officer, supposed to have killed himself in a Field by Burning his body to death? who would choose to die that way, a painful agonizing death? when there are such easer ways to kill your self? such as taking pills for stress and anxiety, that your local doctor would provide you with;, if you keep taking them, your fear and anxiety will go away, but it might also make you become addicted to them, as I was when I was given that prescription, because I found out by one of my Friends who had come to see me that day, she said Jenny,, Jenny look out the window, and I did, I was in total shock to see him cuddling that women, and kissing her hands. That's when I need to take them, because I had anxiety because of seeing that, he was to me being unfaithful, but I still miss my Husband even to this day, I still have, many pictures off him, in my office. If only he had been faithful to me, he could still be alive to day. But that's only in my mind, and memory, I know that now.

I’m glad I read HER book and watched videos where SHE says how miserable she was, how isolated she felt, how her husband had been cheating the whole time, how no one helped her make the transition, why and how the eating disorder started, how no one ever praise her/gave positive encouragement, etc. Because if not, listening to these people in this video, you would think Charles was a loving attentive caring husband, which he was not and that Diana was unstable, spoiled and the cause of the broken marriage. Harry seems to be an extreme case, but there’s a slight parental element in many marriages. Wives do need to be motherly sometimes. And women look to their husbands to be very protective ( almost like a father) at times of special need. In some enduring marriages, those roles a quite pronounced. The Wales marriage would never have worked. Diana was very young and out of her depth. She wanted a hero-protector. I feel we lost a great ambassador, and spirit for good from this country. Public outpouring, upon her death, was no histeria, she did touch the hearts of others, and her compassion was genuine - what an amazing Queen we could have had - from her troubles, through her difficulties, she found a path and courageously forged her own role and purpose for being, the watching world wished her well, her untimely death, more tragic for the loss of hope for her outcomes. This video is actually conveying excuses for Charles' (and family) emotional abuse of Diana, isn't it; what is not being said here, but what seems to seap out all the same, is that Charles idea of marriage was to control, and bully Diana - not to lovingly support her. He seems an entitled, controlling, bullying person - Today such behaviour is called what it is, clearly in the 80s and 90s it was not. I hope very much that Diana's experience has helped to change the outlook and outcomes of women who find themselves in such a situation today.

If the royal family had had their heads in the 20th century instead of the 16th, Charles & Camilla could have gotten married & avoided all this drama & tragedy. I believe it is William & Harry that have suffered the most out of all this, but it seems to me everyone involved has suffered. Everyone was a pawn in some way. Obviously I don't know what the conversation was between William, his father & the Queen, but I'm so happy for him that he married for love instead of having to submit to an antiquated rule that has no significance or importance in the 21st century.

I agree. People rabidly defend Diana but the reality is, he's never publicly spoken out against her, we just have her story. She allowed a very public tell-all to be published while she was still married to him! That's not normal. It's a privileged, rich 90s version of airing your grievances with your partner on social media today. It was almost akin to slander despite how "honest" she may have been about her own transgressions. There's always three sides to a story - hers, his and the truth. We have no idea what their actual marriage was like. I think she WAS a bit unstable (I say that as a bit of an unstable person myself). I made a similar comment about this myself, I truly believe there is genuine love between Camila and Charles and I believe it was because she was Catholic that they couldn't marry. I don't know if he was a philanderer and had other women but he maintained an affair with her for decades, unlike Diana's flings. He had to obey duty and so, as heir to the throne, he obliged. I think Diana was too young to marry, she was a teenager! I was engaged at 21, we broke it off a year or so later, the marriage never would have lasted, I was a completely different person back then. As you said, this all could have been avoided had he been allowed to marry Camilla from the start. Now that paragraph/rant aside, I have nothing against Diana, I think she did fantastic work and used her powers to help out people and foundations that are otherwise overlooked or looked down upon.

@@LissyVee Camilla is not a Catholic. Charles didn't marry her because she had a sexual past and she didn't want to marry himm anyway back in the 70s. She married somoene else and then she and Charles remained good friends and ended up in an affair together as her marriage began to get unhappy due to her husband's philandering
