As an American who lives in Los Angeles, I need to correct the reference that Meghan Markle was an A list actor. She was on a show called suits on the USA network, which is not a major platform. Her IMBD ( CVs for entertainment) profile does not have a record of her being in any major movies or award winning series. George Clooney and spouse did not know Ms. Markle but went to the wedding because, who wouldn’t. She had a certain amount of success but not on the level of Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, etc., who are indeed A list actors.

Children of divorced parents who have remarried have always had to walk a fine line, royal or not. William has always seemed to respect both his father and mother, while probably frustrated and annoyed at times, again, with them both. We are very vey lucky to have William instead of Hawwy or Andy. Count your blessings Richard & Charlotte, instead of insisting that the monarchy should go back to the 1910s. The world moves on, get with it. William is the sturdiest of fellows. This year he coped with the cancers of his wife and father. 2 yes go , his grandmother dies and a year before, his grandfather. He has put up with nasty potshotsfrom his vile brother for 5 years while his father & wife had cancer. Yet, he carries out his duties without whining. If William doesn't want to wear tights or a kilt, he doesn't have to. He has earned it. Get perspective. You could always have Hawwy, who would wear a dress if he could be king. I know it we'd be George, not Hawwy, but H would make an Almighty Fuss if he wasn't named Prince Regant. Hawwy would make George IV look shy and polite by comparison.

My understanding of the Windsors family is they have a commitment to serve the public interest of the British people to their dying day. What a nasty idea that Prince William is holding a resentment against the Queen and will in some way show this when he becomes King if the Queen is still alive.
