She had beauty courtesy of the palace and her outrages spending. She notified nearly every news organization where and when she would be at certain places, doesn’t Harry look like her riding instructor? What doting mother throws herself down a flight of stairs trying to abort William….really she should have been hospitalized, check her family roots.

Interesting good documentary. The one who suffered most through the divorce was William, feel so sorry for him, then, on top of that he suffered the death of his Mother. Thank goodness he's strong with a good logical mind to overcome and go farward ❤❤❤

How do you determine that one child suffered more that the other? William has and continues to be raised by the Crown so at least still had that support network around him, if anything, Harry suffered more not only as the youngest of the boys but as the one who was raised by his mother.

It's not about how graduate you are, it's all about your character. Look at Charles does he have a PhD even if he' has, and look at how he behaves......as a man everyone looks up on him, his Dad and Mom doesn't behave like that, they stay true to each others till death, but him he ruined his family, but because of his status that's why people give him respect.

@@hopesingh1640 You can clearly see the boys were very close to Charles. We should all stop this fantasy worship of Diana. According to the Crown although Fiction but I do believe it mostly. Loosely based on truth. Diana had many problems stemmed from childhood. She was not as nice as everyone claims. In the Crown, she made William feel uncomfortable like there was something wrong with her. It came from childhood with Diana. She might have been a vulnerable narc. Can't you see? If that was true. I can see it. William wanted to distance himself from his mother. He was very close to the Queen and his dad! Diana admitted Charles was a really good dad. Charles was loving too looking for love. He fell in love with a woman. One woman that he was denied in having and tried with Diana and they were both unsuited. Charles had nothing in common with Diana. She was young and should have never been married at 19. She went ahead pushed by the Royals and her family too. They could not let her finish her childhood? Or youth. Looking at her, she clearly should have been married in her 30s. She cheated plenty on Charles too but again I do not blame her either. She was looking for love. You cant force two people who were so different to love each other. Diana did say when they had Harry that was the best time of her marriage with each other. Clearly they were after a while not suited. Charles being 31/32 when he got married I feel was immature as well. William is very close to Charles and Diana was not responsible running around having nothing to do except saying poor me. Royal family was quite busy but thank God for the Queen and Charles being a stable influence on William and Harry's lives. William turned out great. Harry well I will not say but that came from other peoples influence on him.
@danielsullivan9271

@@deadmanswife3625 That is not true. The Queen although was not always there for Charles and Anne but was there later for the last two and her grandchildren that she was so close to. Get your facts right. She left a mark on all her grandchildren's lives. She even was there for Fergi when she was getting divorced from Andrew. Andrew was fun but turned out it looks like not so good doing horrible things because he felt like he could do whatever he wants even if he was charming. Edward was also was close to the Queen as well as his wife. The Queen is also very close to Kate. Queen made up and got closer to Charles and Anne in later years. She was so religious that she forgave Charles and Camilla because true love and these two should have never been denied their love and marriage for each other. They were best suited for each other. Camila? I heard she is fun and very interesting. Sadly Diana was not so interesting to people who actually knew her. I think she played her vulnerabilities on William some friends and others because she had so many problems sadly stemmed from childhood. I wish she did not get married and allowed to play out her youth having fun in her 20s like others but clearly she needed help from someone her family did not give her at all sadly.

I also went to boarding school from 11 years of age. Although I regret in hindsight years I lost out on being at home with my family, I actually grew to enjoy boarding school. I made great friends there. In fact when my parents were in a position to bring me home to attend another school as a day scholar, I tried it out for two terms then nagged to go back to my old private catholic convent boarding school. Although it was a catholic boarding school, people of all faiths could attend it. I'm Anglican, church of England. We could attend our own churches on Sundays. This was a long time ago in the 1960's. So I went back to boarding school by choice the 2nd time. But boarding school not everybody's thing.

The one that made the disgusting comment that Diana was using William as a substitute for her X husband , his father! What a disgusting thing to say!!! The one that made herself look atrociously unintelligent, by saying William has a problem with the Paparazzi ! He most likely thinks that if the paparazzi wouldn’t have been relentlessly hunting his mother down, every single second of her life , which was ordered by the powers to be, that maybe she would be alive today!! He’ll just have to attend functions, some formal dinners, admittedly meet a few ass*****, but at least he won’t have to suffer with number 45, (his mother bit the bullet on that one) have great vacations, wonderful homes with no mortgage payments or taxes, buy anything he wants whenever he wants. This is the absolute worst and most biased piece on the royal family that I’ve ever attempted to watch. It was revolting. Friedman and Wade both made ridiculously rude and clearly biased comments. Princess Diana was “almost too tall”! If you can’t find any way to insult this gorgeous humanitarian icon’s personality, attack her height! Attacking her as a mother is beyond anyone’s comprehension. Queen Elizabeth II, may she Rest In Peace, said she had the utmost respect for Princess Diana’s skills as a mother. Who are these two clueless idiots? Are they on Charles’s payroll? Disgraceful and disrespectful. Prince William should have this banned in the UK, if possible.

@@3_times_mum520 I don’t agree with everything that people say, but I will defend their right to say it. Anyway this is a ridiculous argument. The British people, indeed the world population, will retain their high regard for Diana, regardless of anything said or written about her; as for Charles and his painted, tainted wife, they frequently made their beds, now they can bed hop in them. He fumbles and she gloats, and history will brand them selfish buffoons and that is what they earned. Your quoting interviews as the basis for your complaints is specious. Things said in interviews are subjective and inherently biased. Everyone will base their opinions on their own observations of the 3 people mentioned, no matter what you rale against.

At least we are aware that this early 2000's material proved to be wrong. I mean those "possible" scenarios presented by some of the guest speakers. Both William and Harry have grown up to be public figures as they become more experienced. This material presents two young boys, teenagers, who live through the hardest time of their lives. They not only just lost their beloved Mother, but are also expected to show up more and more often publicly to perform official duties. So I don't blame them for primary shyness. Also I can't blame anybody (especially innocent children) for hiding from constant paparazzi's attacks. Everybody deserves some privacy! I assume these materials aim to show Diana in a different light and argue with her legend. It would be ok if guest speakers have balanced their opinions more. I am watching dozens of films like this segment and sometimes I feel like they are faked for some malicious reasons. I understand the notion of getting married for some higher purpose and why it is finally getting collapsed. I understand Diana's character did not fit into Royal Family's reality. I just got impression that documentaries like this (interviewed short after Diana's death) or new film "Spencer" are created to diminish Diana. Do they think people forgot Diana after 25 years? Do they want to brainwash millenials who don't remember her? I think so. Rememberance is very important and as a Pole I am aware of this. We are just experiencing that kind of brainwash very often and know the mechanism of "changing" the history. Do not take into consideration what is not align with true. Diana was a good Mother and humanitarian. Everybody has any sins because no one is perfect.
@loditx7706

@@patrycjakonieczna She wasn’t perfect. I think she should have read more and exposed her sons to that world, but she was beautiful and made an effort to make hers boys realize how other people lived and she took them places commoners went, shopping at Marks and Spenser and amusement parks and all sorts. She espoused problems and charities that other royals ignored, afraid of possible stigma of some. In her way she was brave and acted on her beliefs, unfortunately I don’t see her sons doing that.

ALSO, Diana cheated on Charles with that guy that some think is Harry's real father, she cheated between the birth of William and Harry. He didn't use her. The RF used HIM, forced him to marry a bulimic hysteric twit who was OOOO, a virgin. He was in love with Camilla and they knew it. The two had NOTHING in common.

It’s easy to pull Diana down when she can’t defend herself, she was the main support with the boys, a loving caring nurturing mum, Charles priority was Camilla, Diana wasn’t given enough credit or support, the only time she wasn’t in her right mind was when she married Charles after being fooled, used and discarded, she was too good for that family, that tangled mess they call the royal family, lets not forget they are people, individuals, not immune of deviation or mistakes, a lot of them have skeletons in their cupboards so in no position to pick at Diana for anything

We are all so busy in our lives that we forget about our souls. The most important part of living the life u live is to do it right when it comes time to go to Heaven. Well l did happen to go to Heaven and it was one of the times u say OMG is this really happening or am l being punked? The sensation was blissful orgasmic surrender. I will never forget the privilege to be in Heaven, however l detect a man close to me, So l decided to pray, however l was not doing so in a humble way as l was demanding the truth from Our Creator. Did Jesus Christ live and die for our sins. I demanded to know his name, but l will never forget his answer, as He said His name was Jesus Christ so l said Prove It!! So He showed me both of eHis hands hands palm side up. I could see that His hands and feet were mangled from the inhumane torture He experienced. I felt ashamed at that time falling to my knees begging forgiveness from Him. The next thing Jesus did was to extend His hand to assist me in standing up. I could not believe what a gentleman He was, holding my hand in His. OMG what an amazing experience. Then Jesus said u have to go back. I said l don’t want to back. He said u must take this message to All Humanity. Please help me to get this message out for our Lord God Almighty. It is not my message as l am just the Messenger, telling as many souls as possible as it is my heart and soul that God Almighty knows about me. So l take on the task of reminding each human how they too can get a golden ticket to Heaven, so to speak. First u must acknowledge the fact Jesus died so our sins could be forgiven. The last thing u must do as Jesus was emphatic that we all must live by the Ten Commandments or our souls will be in jeopardy. If u are not familiar with the Ten Commandments just ask google for them in modern day English. May God bless us all on our journey as it is so worth it. So help me Father God Jehovah, as that is God’s name as l found it in the Bible.

I am a Princess Diana fan, a die hard fan, it breaks my heart to see Camilla take Diana’s husband and her throne, ever since Diana died, Prince William and Harry grew apart, was it because they married two different women, have they contributed to the princes pulling apart, well, I say forgive one another and love each other, it is what your mother wanted, for the two of you to be close! ❤

She didn't take him, Charles was not allowed to marry Camilla and Charles was in love with her so if you want to blame someone, blame The QueenMother and the Queen. Can you imagine being in love with someone and told you can't marry them and then pushed into marrying someone you don't even connect with to produce Heirs. Luckily we have the male reincarnation of Diana in William, and he will make a fine King. That's exactly how it was, a recipe for disaster. To be human is to err, no matter how much money you have.

What everyone is forgetting about in life is what about their souls. Meaning everyone in life has to think about that point. As l am a preacher who went to Heaven, which was an amazing experience for me, as the sensation was blissful surrender. While in Heaven l detected a man so l asked who he was to which he replied that He was Jesus Christ and l said prove it which He did by showing me both of His hands palm side up. I could see how tortured they were from the nails that were forced them as well as His feet were destroyed from the inhumane torture He was subjected to. I fell to my knees immediately asking for His forgiveness. Jesus then extended His hand to assist me in standing. WOW Jesus Christ held my hand in His. Then He said to me l had to go back to bring Father God’s message to all humanity. If you want to go to Heaven each person must follow the 10 commandments, acknowledging Jesus died so everyone’s souls would be forgiven. If one does not live by the commandments laid out their souls are in jeopardy. I’m the Messenger for God Almighty so for your journey to Heaven, live my His rules for eternal salvation. There is no choice as it is God Himself is ashamed of humanity in the present times. He is giving you, His creation another chance as He so does only want you to follow His rules. This was told to me when l got to meet Jesus Christ in Heaven. His commandments are as follows: 1. Thou( means you) shall have no other gods before me. 2. Thou shall not make any heaven images of me. 3. Thou shall not kill. 4.Thou shall not commit adultery. 5. Thou shall not lie. 6. Remember the Sabbath, keeping it holy. 7. Thou shall not take the Lord, thy God’s name in vain. 8. Thou shall not steal. 9. Honour thy mother and father. 10.

I think Diana's death was the beginning of the pulling apart of the brothers. The Crown was ALWAYS only ever focused on William, so Harry would have been on his own following her passing. I don't think it fair to lay blame at the wives for the brothers drifting. William broke a faithful promise to stick by his younger brother, despite Harry upholding his end of the bargain, irrespective of what he may have felt about Williams choices. Sadly, William was not supportive of his brother, as despite his role as "Future King" he seems to have always had an envious streak of his younger brother's freedom. Sadly this continues to be the case. My brothers and I may disagree behind closed doors but once we step outside breeze does not pass between us. I have raised our sons in the same way as have my brothers raised their children. Sometimes, we have to remover ourselves from family when allow themselves to become complicit in our trauma. Im sure Diana is looking down on both her sons and her five grandchildren. Its important to remember that Harry and William's paths were never meant to go in the same direction. I just think its sad for Harry that the one person he stood by regardless of anything else, was not there for him when he needed him the most. Saddest is that Charles continues to make Camilly his No 1 Priority.

A traditional education has its benefits. What is wrong with wealthy and privileged young people getting that education. I am from a very humble background but hold no grudge when more fortunate people have a leg up in the world. We are all her by virtue of our birth and I believe that we are set here for a reason. Some are meant to rule and some are meant to make bricks. Both should be honorable.
@wisdomseekertv
@wisdomseekertv 2 жыл бұрын
We don't have to evaluate them, looking at them, side by side. But if we did, the most honorable of the two would be laying bricks, making a salary, paying taxes and putting food on the table for your loved ones by doing so - even though you might not actually want to lay those bricks. And that's coming from a person with an upper-class upbringing. There's no doubt about which one of the two is more honorable. Earning something and being handed something have two completely different meanings. They can't be compared. Earning something is the only real way to feel adequate. Earning something is the best way to get there, wherever that destination may be.

She does not spend fortunes on clothes which I'm sure pleases him & the King, but still looks very elegant & regal. He also loves her parents with whom he has a close relationship. I'm going to be a kind mediator here from across the pond. You both have great points. I watched from the beginning of their lives together. I saw a young, beautiful, more royal blooded through her ancestry than Charles, 19 year old girl. She knew no other men, hadn't really dated much, shy, very naive.. She fell head over heels in love with Charles. I remember the live press where the famous "love, whatever that is" line and the shattered look on her face. From the inception, she knew he loved another. She tried probably too hard, pushed, as we all do when young, in hopes he would love her and she wouldn't just be in some castle as a baby maker missing her husband. Once he refused to stop, she got bored and lonely, as many would. Of course, she searched out some comfort of her own as she was stuck in the marriage, but I don't think she ever stopped loving him but at some point it had to be terribly hard. Then a talk from Queen and each other there came a spark, then Harry. I believe for a while after Harry they were truly happy again. Or they tried.... sadly he really loved C, and as all true love, I guess you can't really live without it. So repeat. What bothers me is her cries for help with her eating disorder and depression with anxiety, etc, being ignored. Had she received proper help, who knows, right? Maybe they could have found ways to make themselves happier or some understanding. It's hard to guess. I don't like cheating in any form, but obviously, it's a family trait by not only Charles, his father, and many other royals in history as marriages were mostly arranged. Diana came from a broken home as well possibly for the same reasons along with some domestic violence. I will never trash either. It does no good. People have their own feelings, but I think Diana was fantastic. I don't like the stuffy lady in this documentary when she bashed the onlooker for saying, "I just want to hug william, it's like hugging Diana," as not letting William be himself. I took it as he favors his Mum so very much, is a part of her and so similar in his mannerisms, etc, that it's like hugging her too. That was kind and I don't feel not allowing him to be himself but noticing how much he favors and reminds us of his wonderful Mother. William has made a great man and forged his own path as much as was allowed. He will be a great king. I pray he stays saf, happy, and healthy. You all obviously think a lot of him, but no matter what happened with Harry to cause discourse and all of the hate and mudslinging around the world, Please never forget he is their Son too. For what ever faults and mistakes, he has always tried to do good with charity and worked very hard to be his own man as well. We might not agree with his choices, but we all make mistakes and have to live with them, answer for them, ask for forgiveness and try to live the best we can. Even if he has strayed and done some very questionable things, he is King Charles Son, Prince Williams Brother and will one day open his eyes as we all do with age, time, and self reflection. I wish each of you the most wonderful life. Blessings and light to you all. ✨️

The whole point of therapy is to help guide the client figure out for themselves what effect the events in their life had on them. Not to convince them they have a problem because of it. Trauma had alot more to do with how a person reacts to what happened, not so much what happened.

I quote my comment to other person At least we are aware that this early 2000's material proved to be wrong.

If the sale of these unapproved pictures were considered theft, which they are, the solution would be payment that could be used to finance the necessary security to ensure that the photography does not become an excessive intrusion. Photographers cannot be expected to be politely self-restrained. The Royal Family in public should be thought of as a public asset, and stolen access to a public asset then becomes a crime against the public. In their private time, theft of their privacy has plenty of legal precedent with which to prosecute and punish excessive intrusion. We, the reading public, can’t have it both ways. We grow up with customs, rules, and shibboleths that protect privacy but demand open access to the press. It’s like an impossible marriage: everyone might want it to work, but it doesn’t, although it’s remarkable how we manage to exist with enough incomplete compromise to keep a functional level of sanity going. You can’t defend hatred of the press and love of newspapers!

Charles was in love of Camilla before meeting Diana. He was not allowed to marry her for a bunch of stupid social rules. His father thought Diana was perfect for him and he had to marry her. Charles already had suffer the school his father wanted for him, he wanted him to become very virile and sportive, as he himself was supposed to be, but Charles was a different kind of person, he is sensible and he is an intellectual, unlike his father. Look how sad Charles eyes are on the altar, later he manages to make smile, but not with the eyes. No matter how nice and beautiful Diana was, if he was in love of another person and it can become very sour if the person tries and tries to please you. It’s something that happens to everybody, the person is so nice to you and tries and tries but you just feel the more and more rejection as she insists, because you do not love her. His father was wrong from the start and his parenting way has affected greatly the life of his son. Fortunately, the RF realized this was a huge mistake and let William and Harry marry for love. True you can chose the wrong person, but that is another matter. Parents imposing their children how they should be, instead of understanding them, and imposing a wife or a husband rarely works well. Diana was a nice woman, and she was trapped by a wrong decision. She certainly deserved better. However, you cannot impose love to a sensible person. Camilla has always been the great love of Charles and he has prove it by overcoming all the huge walls that prevent him to be with her and finally made her her Queen. This is a true love story, I admire Charles’s strength and determination and I am so happy for them.

It's all well and good to spout and parade all escapades of the young boys but let's get real. Charles failed miserably as a father and even worse, introduced the divisive predator - Camilla - into the kids' lives. Regardless of Charles' attempts, you can't erase a child's love for a loving mother. Having them try to accept a woman who caused such harm to their mother and family was a dreadful idea, no matter what the paid media says. Even worse Camilla turned out to be a vicious snake.

Charles and Camilla planned the whole scenario of being together from the very, very beginning. He married Diana soley to have the precious heir to the throne, but he never intended her to be queen. He always intended that position for Camilla. He never loved Diana. That was plain. The hurtful things he said to her early on was incredibly cold. I hope the two of them will eventually destroy the monarchy all by themselves, because they are not popular. They connived the whole thing and never meant his marital vows. You're well out of it Diana. Your beauty shone from the inside out. RIP. ❤

Diana was sure that she would marry Prince Andrew when she grew up. Her family took to calling her Dutch because they were also sure she would marry Andrew and become a Duchess. Once Diana realized that she could actually catch Charles, the chase was on and facilitated by her family. Diana feigned interest in Charles’ interests and hobbies (Balmoral, fishing hunting, etc.)-basically, she pretended to be who Camilla is, a hunting, shooting, fishing, reading country girl. Then as soon as they were on their honeymoon (most of which was at Balmoral), Diana declared each of his interests as borrrring. When the honeymoon moved on to Balmoral she would have have fits of screaming and crying when he wouldn’t do what she wanted when she wanted him to do it (the court was at Balmoral for the summer so there was official business going on and many witnesses). After the honeymoon she proceeded to, one by one, separate him from his friends (he would give in to avoid conflict with her), then his staff (who would quit because she would not look at or speak to those she wanted to leave. In her mind, she loved him, but then attempted to change everything about him, and if he wanted any kind of peace, he would comply. Diana and her family, particularly the Spencers, were very ambitious and misrepresented who she was to the RF, particularly regarding her emotional health & stability. The Spencer’s actually had a bit of a reputation for unstable men (Diana’s mom cited abuse in the divorce), but the RF didn’t think the mental issues affect the Spencer women. Diana actually refused to cooperate with mental health professionals provided by the RF when they realized how unstable she was, and wouldn’t accept mental health help for years (yes, the RF tried to get her professional help) until a friend threatened to out her bulimia to the press because she was afraid it would kill her. And that is just how she treated Charles. As a grown woman she held hostility towards her mother for leaving her abusive father (her mother took Diana & her brother with her but lost custody), pushed her 60 year old stepmother down the stairs (long after Diana married btw), threw her stepmother’s things out the window in trash bags after her father died, fired one staff for claiming expenses with the palace for some trips with Diana (completely legitimate expenses), and fired another who was the currier delivering tapes to Andrew Morten for her for accepting reimbursement from the publishing company. The virginal “Shy Di” persona was completely a creation of a press. A bit like the common impression that the Queen Mother “sweet ol’granny.”

Debbie Frank puts her nose where it does not belong. A friend of Diana would not use William and Harry in a video to mock Diana’s distress. Diana bashing by Wade: @2:08:38 criticizes Diana regarding the press. In this instance William was with Charles, and does not blame Charles, she sympathizes with him about ‘the ridiculous situation” Charles found himself in. @ 2;22:00, She sounds like she doubts William will find a great wife because of Diana ….. Wade can now eat her words @2:22:48 “perhaps there is less pressure on William now without his mother around.’ As if Diana was the problem. @ 2:57:41 she says “boys were very careful not to upset Diana.” As if Diana was the problem! @ 2;47:46 the boys always said “Daddy loves you”. What utter rubish. The Peoples' Princess was a gift from God to the House of Windsor. (By the way, I loved the Queen Mother, the Queen and the Princess Royal but have no time for the others.) Just like her infamous ancestor, Camilla's MO is and has always been entirely self-serving. I never really knew my mother because my parents were divorced when I was 4 years old. My step mother, who was carrying my half sister when she married my father, only had time for her own child who was spoilt rotten and the sole beneficiary of the family fortune. My home life was violently dysfunctional with the result that my adult life has been a succession of mistakes and miscues. Hardly surprising considering I had no idea what a normal family life looked like. I mention this to put in context what follows. I am now 80 years old and my life's wish is that I will live long enough to welcome King William and Queen Catherine to the Throne. Until then, as a lifelong royalist, I have no interest in the royal family who I despise for their hypocritical mistreatment of the commoners unfortunate enough to have been "welcomed" into their family. Let us not forget that, of all the non-royals, Princess Diana was the only aristocrat (she was Lady Diana Spencer). She was also the product of a broken home and neither she nor her sister got along with their stepmother. Princess Diana may not have been a star student at high school but she was a rock star in how she learned to perform her royal and maternal duties. Forget spousal duties because Prince Charles betrayed the marriage before it started and throughout it. For me he is an unmitigated fraud. William and Catherine can save the House of Windsor and I hope they will. By the way, I see the idea is still being floated that Princess Diana's death was the result of their driver Henri Paul being drunk. There is photographic evidence that this is the most outrageous character assassination and Dodi and Diana's bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones, who was badly injured in the accident, would not have allowed Henri to drive if he had been drunk. Worse, because of the failure and refusal of the responsible authorities to preserve the accident scene evidence and complete all the proper (and required) investigations, you will never convince me that this was not a cleverly executed assassination. Diana's crime? She was better at their job than the Windsors and they could not stand it. The least a loyal subject can do is to hope for transparency in the investigation of such a momentous event but, trust me, it will never happen. A three hour documentary (with all its biases) on the life of such an icon as Princess Diana is hardly an imposition. She was a truly unique personality who touched the lives of millions. For those who would disagree with my views on this subject, go right ahead. You are entitled to your opinion but it will change nothing. At my age I really don't care to waste ink or breath debating the issue.

First of all, outshining Charles was easy, but not Diana’s goal. She enjoyed it because the crowds gave her the love and appreciation Charles should have given her. He is a mean, envious, self-centered little man. Diana was unfaithful after he abandoned her for Camilla. Even his own father couldn’t understand why he preferred Camilla. The answer is easy: Charles has very low self-esteem and needs a woman far below him in looks, social class and personality. Camilla is what he thinks he deserves. He’s right.

First of all: Diana was a mentally ill person. Charles wanted to marry Camilla - but she was not that, what Prince Phillip and Queen Mum wanted - no virgin, not young enough.... Diana was not this fee everyone seems to want to see in her - I remember when wondering when I was young why she wasn´t happy in Scotland in the nature - fact is, she was a country wench that liked shopping and the celebrities life...ok, she was genuine when dealing with other people, she wanted to help - but she also wanted to outshine Charles, she refused being behind him - so THIS is, what Diana was like - and she proably would be still alive would she be smart enough to use her seatbelt!

@@dotmurphy7279 Unbelievable how identical both Jackie and Dianna lives were. Kenndys wanted John to marry someone that wld be suitable for his political career, the royal family wanted some suitable for Queen so they basically picked them, they had cheating husband's but turned a blind eye ( that comment is not a malicious one )for the sake of their marriage, wanted the children to grow up with some kind of normal childhood, were fiercely protective of them, went and got involved with men the rest of the world were not to keen on. Onassis and Fayed. And like you said having president kenndy make the remark about accompanying Jackie and King Charles basically making the same comment about Diana

William always have been more down to earth and his experiences as a Royal Prince cleaning toilets, and sharing with people spaces, and working together. A difference of Harry, maybe he need the brother and mother's footsteps.

I think Queen Elizabeth II and Charles wanted to mourn Diana in private like normal people but the public went crazy in their grief for Diana's death, started blaming Charles, the royal family and the paparazzi for her death (never mind the drunk driver or Diana not wearing a seatbelt). In the end, the children ended walking behind Diana's coffin to satisty the public's grief due to the parasocial relationship they had with Diana that they felt they loved her as much or more than her now two motherless children. People have only started studying/understanding how the parasocial relationship of a celebrity and his/her fanbase (i.e. Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez) can be madly in love with the celebrity, blind to the celebrity's mistakes and ruthless to the celebrity's critics and rivals.
