I just got the 350Q for christmas, from my mother and father in law! I feel so god damn lucky. Gonna use it tomorrow installing a new garage door for starters. Nice to have some tools, bought our house last year. Going to be good friends moving forward! :D Nice review.

My dremel multi tool has nothing on this. This Fein multimaster is awesome! Good review. I love how you go into detail and actually show the tool being used. Thanks!

Best oscillating tool ever made. Got replaced by the Starlock which uses their proprietary expensive blades. This model should be brought back and called the Fein Classic so that they have a tool that can use universal style blades. I have this model and an older 250 Q. Please bring this model back Fein and you will crush the competition of all the countless models available today since your patent ran out.

Great video. I'm glad feins patent ran out because it opened up the market for the rest of the manufactures to make their own. I know that may sound harsh but could you imagine in the beginning of vehicle manufacturing only being able to make and buy one vehicle because its patented? No one else could make a vehicle. Its sort of like a monoloply. Or how about the cure for cancer being in the hands of just one company? I remember when I was younger and I first heard about the fein multi master and I'd watch their commercials and they'd say only four or five easy payments of $149. Haha. It was something high like that. Im not saying they have a bad product or anything. This looks really neat and would be very handy to have. I really like the dust collection too.

Love2boat92 Well....it is nice to see that even though so many companies make similar products, that they all keep innovating & in the end the consumer (me & you) win! :)

You're exactly correct. While they still had the patent, they were MSRP protected at $399 to start (as I remember). Great comment,

Good choice....get the FMM350Q, not the discontinued FMM250Q.

+Real Tool Reviews I was thinking about getting the 2013 Top Kit, which I believe has the 250Q. Is the FMM350Q that much better?

If you had to rate them which would you say is top in Multi tool (corded) tools? not bringing cordless ones into this discussion.

The best is Festool, the best affordable one is the Fein.....very low vibrations, noise, or blade failure (i.e. - broken teeth) & tons of power and accessories that no one else has.

+Real Tool Reviews I recently purchased a Fein multimaster marine and 25L extractor and am thoroughly impressed. However, you've stated that the Festool is the best multicutter.....Why is this so? I'm aware of Festool's pedigree among power tools, but have only recently been made aware of them thanks to KZbin.

3:42 Oh yeah? I put a Fein Universal BIM Metal/Wood blade on mine, the one that came with the tool, and I managed to get all of six 4" nails cut before the blade was totally stuffed! I then went to 'The Tool Shed' and acquired their brand of Bi Metal Wood/Metal cutting blade and managed all of two and a harf 4" nails before the $10 blade was totally shagged! How come I'm not getting the same result as you?
@RealToolReviews9 жыл бұрын
SeriousSchitt I would assume that you were pressing directly in one section of the blade instead of moving it left to right as you cut & also how hard were you pressing? You need to let the blade cut, it doesnt instantly slice through nails. Also, if you buy the cheapest blades, you will get bad results.....for best performance you should use the "extended life blades".....they do much better. I saw another KZbin video with a Fein blade cutting over 500 nails on one blade.
@SeriousSchitt9 жыл бұрын
Real Tool Reviews Thanks for your reply. I wasn't expecting a great deal out of the cheap blade, but I certainly expected more than 2 1/2 nails. I can't remember if I was pressing hard, however, I do notice, in your video here, that you aren't moving the blade side to side, rather, you're just keeping it on the one spot and it's cutting nicely. I haven't used the 'long life wood blade' for cutting nails yet, hopefully my nail cutting exploits are finished for a while! What speed do you have the thing set at when cutting nails, fast or slow?
@matekochkoch8 жыл бұрын
+SeriousSchitt With all multitoos you have to move the pessure point of the blade. Most of the energy will be transformed into heat and if you dont move that point it will overheat. On all oszillating tools there is hardley any movement, unlike a conventional saw so the heat is not distributed over the blade.

It won't connect to a standard vacuum. That's creazy you need to buy Fein vaccum! Anyone found an easy solution?
@RobertPerk14 жыл бұрын
Dust right has a has a hose called universal small port hose kit that works great with the fein dust kit, you can use it on most any vacuum, may need other adapter to connect it to your particular machine.

I had a 14.4v multimaster which was part of a set with a percussion drill. Straight out of the box the multimaster switch was stiff and intermittently stuck altogether. Within a year it had developed another issue which is to hard to describe, but it killed it. The drill was weak as fuck. I'll never buy Fein again.
