Helpful video, thank you! Regarding the ultimate range rod - that seems like a product you only use on the range, so how do you ensure you’re getting the same effects with your factory rod when you are in the field?

What amount of powder pellets would you suggest using with a 330 grain projectile? I’ve been using 100. Two, 50 powder pellets with a power belt 250 grain projectile. Thank you very much! Look forward to trying the 330 grain projectile! 🙏🏼

Shoot a 100gr of loose powder preferably black horn find a good bullet/sabot combo that shoots consistent. Clean between EVERY shot IDGAF what anyone says it's a must!! Buy Federal 209A primers and be done with it !!! You can shoot all sorts of bullets until you find the right one but stay away from pellets they will chip off and crush easily ! Please listen to this message! I've tried all sorts of combinations over a span of 25 years! I shoot a 300gr bullet with a harvester crush rib sabot! 1.25" groups at 100 yards all day long ! Don't go cheap on these muzzleloaders and primers and they will last a lifetime!

1:16-1:18 twist is slower than a 1:8.

Yah I’m pretty sure that was just a mistake lol.

So you are telling me that a 330 grain bullet and a 250 grain bullet are going to go the same speed? That is what your car analogy is insinuating, but it is only possible if you use more powder, and you never mentioned that. Yes, you are correct that the heavier bullet is going to have more energy, but you are lying to everyone when you say it will shoot flatter.

He said at long distance not muzzle velocity. Ballistics show that the higher bc goes faster farther. The light bullet slows faster. However at what range does it change ? The speed of muzzleloader that Range is far closer than a high power rifle.

Bruh, heavier bullets never shoot flatter!
@randysmith86048 күн бұрын
At long range they do. Look at ballistic it’s easy to see. A higher bc bullet slows down slower. The issue is. At what distance does that change happens. In high power rifle that change happens around 500 yards.

@ heavier bullets have a lower BC than lighter bullets………for instance. A 6.5 143 grain will have a better BC than a .30 cal 178 grain.
@randysmith86048 күн бұрын
@ you are correct. When shooting the same caliber though the heavier the higher the bc. When it comes to flat that terminology is bad. No rifle shoots flat. They all arc. Most people do not shoot a muzzleloader farther than 200 yards so differences in this is so minor I’m not sure it matters.
@Meh-hr7gq8 күн бұрын
@ yes and the heavier a bullet the wider the base which decreases BC……. Heavier drops faster. When you start launching bricks it just does.
@Meh-hr7gq8 күн бұрын
Take two bullets of the same BC of say 140 gr and the other 180 gr. Put it in a ballistic calculator and see which one has more drop.
