Hi ali, Many times with large canals a 10 file is not thick enough for working length determination. Do you recommend keeping a 15 and or 20 k flex file to measure working length?
@AANasseh5 жыл бұрын
DkNy2kX You are tight. Larger hand files are needed for wider canals. But I generally use NiTi Rotary files on my EndoSync Plus to measure the length. My favorite file for that is the ESX Scout file 15/02. On a hand file you can certainly go as large as possible until you have contact with dentin as the file goes through the construction. That’s how you get accurate readings. :)

For canals that are double curved could we also use kontrol flex as opposed to the Scout files

So in this setup, are you using a step-back protocol when dealing with larger canals, and a crown-down fashion for smaller canals? Also would you use this the same way when using .06 taper?

How can we get it in india. And please give your opinion about effectivity in measuring working length by endomotor with built in apex locator specially in multirooted tooth with full of irrigant.

Hi Dr Nasseh. I have a question regarding the Endosequence CM files. Could the CM files replace the regular Endosequence files? Do we still need the Scout files if CM files are used? Thanks for all the videos.
@AANasseh5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I think we he CM Files are used best when you have a very curved canal. Otherwise, a non heat treated file like either EndoSequence or ESX is much more efficient in cutting the average tooth and the Scouts would help open the apico third up a little. But a protocol that uses the CMs alone can also be used, except that it’s likely an 06 taper since the 04 taper CMs require a wide path so to reduce unwinding.
