Jessica Briarmoon I’m in the North of Ireland. We are part of the United Kingdom. The border separates the north from the south of Ireland. The south is in the EU. There is an akzentz educator in Dublin, south Ireland but none here in the North. Unfortunately I don’t work in nails anymore due to taking ill with fibromyalgia and cfs. That’s why I love your videos so much because it takes me back to my salon days, before I took sick. I miss it so much. If you come here for a holiday then make it a holiday. No classes!!!! Lol you deserve a break. Breathe in all that Irish Sea air and it’ll knock 20 years off you lol

@@marinawalsh3117 Awww. Well, welcome to my nail salon! Glad you enjoy the videos. :) I look forward to exploring Ireland. I guess since there are educators, I'm not quite needed and I'll take your advice and just vacation! :)

Jessica Briarmoon oh Jess I didn’t mean you weren’t needed! I meant that there’s no educators in the North that you could get in touch with and arrange a class but there is 1 in the South that you could arrange something with. Trust me if I still had my salon I’d have a throne waiting for you xx I am living my dream through your videos Jess. I still do my own nails but it’s the craic I miss with all the different types of clients. It’s 05.45 on a Sunday morning here. I’m gonna have a great day and I hope you do also 😊

Is your curing lamp inside the pedi basin? If so, do you use a little platform or does it just sit on the bottom of the resin/glass bowl?
@luvnailz2 жыл бұрын
Not whole bench was custom designed. The platform is on its own spot. They scoot over on the bench if they are doing water portion. The sink is higher so they soak comfortably hanging their feet into the tub.

What does a pedi with the spa look like. Would you do the spa last to avoid from foot soaking in water?
@jessicahoel4 жыл бұрын
I used to do that but I found it doesn't make any difference, after I do all cuticle work on the toes and have them ready for color (about 20 min) I cleanse very well with alcohol and it dries them good enough that I never have problems with adhesion.

Curious question....you say during other hand videos that you use Shine on for toes not Top Gloss. Why?
@RealWorldNailsLuvNailz4 жыл бұрын
Typically I like to use regular top glass because I think the viscosity is better for hands when I’m doing glitters or anything else. I can get a little bit more shape to it and it doesn’t run into the cuticles. With toes the surface area is so small that I’m not trying to get any shape at all and just a very thin coating for shine. So this is typically why I just use shine on. Might as well save the step and not do the wiping of the tacky layer because shine on has no tacky layer

how much do you charge for just gel polish toes without the spa vs with the spa pedi?
@RealWorldNailsLuvNailz4 жыл бұрын
Gel toes is $65. Adding the soak, callus removal and scrub and massage is +$20
@chickennugitslayer17364 жыл бұрын
When adding the Spa Services to your pedi do you still soak the foot in the beginning or do you do the gel then soak, scrub massage?
@RealWorldNailsLuvNailz4 жыл бұрын
I soak in the beginning. I used to think it made a difference whether I soaked later or sooner but since the prep process takes about 20 minutes and I cleanse the toes twice really good with alcohol before going to gel, I have found that they are dehydrated enough that there is no problem and no differences soaking first.

If they come back for a soak off only and not a new pedicure service , how much do you charge for the removal if you do?
@RealWorldNailsLuvNailz6 жыл бұрын
armando sosa I rarely have clients not have them redone. But I do have one client that forgets to book and asks me to remove her color after a few months. It takes me about 5 min to remove so I just charge $5 and it’s not additional time on my book, I always have leftover time from her nail appointment. If someone had to book in time it would be a 15 min spot (my shortest spots) and thus $20.

Look at the time it takes you and all your expenses and see if your career is sustainable long term at what you are charging.
