Thank you so much from me a new NP in uk. These videos are soooooooo useful. And I appreciate you using generic names of meds cos here in uk we don't usually refer to meds by their brand names.

FNP student here. I just had two patients in clinicals yesterday with lower extremity edema. This video was very helpful. Looking back, I can better see how my preceptor came to her decisions about their care.

New NP here. You made the statement you have a problem pronouncing words and I do too :). I had a preceptor tell me my patients will never trust me if I can't pronounce words correctly. I practice words as much as I can. How do you approach patients with words you're unclear on how to pronounce?
@RealWorldNP2 жыл бұрын
I recommend being honest with your patient. I found patients appreciate this the most. If you write down the word/ medication for them they may further understand the difficulty in pronunciation. Ex: Hey we should start you on hyrdrochlorothiazide, this can be difficult to say and remember so this is often referred to as HCTZ.

HI Liz, as always thanks for your useful guidance, I was wondering if you could make a video for leg pain specifically and for physical exam to rule out :) It's always confusing to me ..
