Real World PDR Training Be realistic. You can practice For a years and you wont shrink metal just for pushing it out with any “shrinking tips” only best method is push behind and tap it down to shrink it. and also not every time, all depend how big is overstretched area.

R M it does gather metal quickly. These dents were too tight to work well with them.

On the dolly technique: Look into old school metalfinishing tools known as "Ring Hammers" and "Ring Dollies" I used to do all my small detail work with those and small "Jeweler's" hammers. Also, if you are using a polished chasing hammer, or a Jewelers hammer, you can use the dolly technique with the VIP tip as well. Just make sure you are very gentile with the way you strike.

Great video Jim I like the look of both tools, very interesting the stanliner one, is there much chance of pushing the metal outward from the centre as appose to the vip tip pulling the metal towards the centre? Being a panel beater and knowing all about dollies and techniques (some covered in my next vid 😉) I’d say you would be limited to size/depth using the stanliner before the dent stretched? What you think? Cheers martin

And the point? These are different tools, they are for different types of damage. You did the same peak cons, and everywhere there were different leftovers. It’s easier to push the center with a bullet with a cap. Tap the skirt and squeeze the point with a needle. In any case, no one is forbidden to search and analyze, this is my personal opinion. I put Like from the beginning, then looked.

Ремонт Вмятин 100% Spiked tips was created long time ago by Russian guy, and this is not shrinking metal at any stage, but now they released “new idea” shrinking tips🤦🏻‍♂️ its just marketing scam, peoples buying and waisting his money on this useless VIP or GLEXO tips to hoping shrink metal, Overstrained metal means , to much metal. And no way shrink just for pushing or taping, only way to shrink it is push and tap at the same time as Jim shows with stanliner tool.

@@Emigraves Yes, we did a lot of such attachments,and the search was long.And a hedgehog and a petal, but the best was a Cactus.It was first made by Yuri Petrenko, the oldest paint-free artist in Russia.Cactus is made in Austria, he gave the development and ptent there.It really works,and some defects without it, I will not take in repair.This nozzle has a needle tilt, works both soft and hard.She kicks her can fix Chris on itself when the lamp is not parallel and perpendicular.If interested, I can throw you a video description and where the original is sold.Jim please excuse me for these messages, in any case this is Your channel.I didn't test the Glexo and VIP attachments,and I can't say anything for them.But I immediately understand that they are not applicable on the peak cons of single ones.Sometimes manufacturers make and sell.And then they ask the masters how?

I’ll tell you what. It goes against everything in me. But I’ll order some and try them out. My problem is they are using stanliner designs, and they are actually family of Stanliner. So because I have a good relationship with stanliner I hadn’t bought any. But because a subscriber wants to see it, I think that overrides any personal affiliation I have (which is minimal anyway)

Where did you get the Stanliner dolly tip tool? I can't find anything like it on their site.
@RealWorldPDRTraining
@RealWorldPDRTraining 4 жыл бұрын
Stanliner has a bunch or tips like this if you make it to the shows. Unfortunately other than that you’ll be using the killer whale tail which is still kind of rare to come across. If you see one for sale, snatch it up.... that’s the first tool I experimented with this technique using. Worked like a charm. 2 dents I wouldnt normally even take on (bb style) done in 15 minutes 100 bucks a piece no need for wet sand or any kind of rework. The killer whale also has tons of other uses, totally worthwhile tool if you can snag one
@UY_pdr2020
@UY_pdr2020 4 жыл бұрын
Good job comparing both tips! Both tips seems to do their job in different ways. But killer whale tail does not shrink the metal....(?) So if the dent it's quite stretched where do you "send" that extra streched metal?
@RealWorldPDRTraining
@RealWorldPDRTraining 4 жыл бұрын
I think this would be an excellent time to combine both of these tools. The killer whale won’t shrink anything, but will allow you to send the displaced (into the dent) metal back to its home. Leaving just the area needing gathered. The VIP tip would kill it in that situation.
