man I needed this video two years ago, I admit I made ALL those mistakes, bought thousand of dollars worth of tools before I could fix a dent properly. Took all sorts of online training courses including Dent Trainer where I learned the most and watched hundreds of videos and practiced on old hoods and even my own cars. Come to find out its 1000 times harder to learn PDR than I thought. I would say its difficult enough that 8 out of 10 people will give up within a few weeks. I didn't give up, I kept practicing until I learned enough to work on other peoples cars. One of the reasons I did not give up was cause I spent so much money on tools, there was no backing out. Thank You for educating the people out there so they will not make the same mistake I made.

Dyslexic...here for you Myke...on a serious note my Mom got a door ding on her Buick between the handle and the edge of the drivers door. She hasn't noticed yet, but I bought a Mini lifter and a tap down, used a crease tab and glassed it...all from watching: you, Chris, and a few others! Thank you and the others for the great content! To be honest I got very lucky, control pulled twice and the third time pulled hard with some grey tab weld. Only had to tap down a bit of the center of the now slightly high crease and a bit on a small crown. It was pretty shallow even compared to some of your day one dent video dents...but either way I have the itch now to continue my pursuit! Thank you again for the taste of knowing what can be done...

You saved me a lot of money. I'm that guy who totally gets into their newest hobby and buys all the expensive shit. Only to burn myself out. It's fun, I learn ALOT, but have I have these tools and no place to keep them. I pay so much in storage fees, I could buy a property. Maybe. Tools and women. I spend my money on the two.

For the soft tip tool, wouldn't it be better to get a 36 inch rather than a 24 inch to reach more areas? Awesome video. Thanks.
@denttime
@denttime 9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. However that length will be too long. I recommend a tool length that can be versatile for door access and fenders. You can always purchase an extension as well but the whole point is to have a tool right in the middle. Using too long of tools will limit your access points and become unusable for half the panels. Thanks again

I do not want to pdr for a living but i just want to fix my own car. All These tools can get very expensive. Please recommend some tools for diy'ers that have little budget. Like $150 budget. Preferably something i can find off amazon. Thank you so much for all your videos.
@denttime

Hi thanks for watching. Unfortunately PDR isn’t easy to learn. Before you buy tools you should consider denttrainer.com first. Second it is cheaper for you to hire a professional than do it yourself. Unless you don’t care about the results, quality or just being frustrated. You won’t be able to find good tools for a $150 budget. That’s just not reality. Now you can find eBay tools but they are going to give you opposite results and frustrate you at the very least. They will either break or have too much flex. You need to watch good structured videos on. Denttrainer.com as I mentioned many times. So many DIYers want to buy tools before they know how to use them she just waste time and emotion. Save yourself at least some of the heartache and listen to my advice. Thank you.

Do you have any videos on fixing the roof portion that’s above the windshield/connecting the A-pillars on a soft top convertible? Not sure what to call this portion on a convertible that the soft top roof attaches to, but am trying to find information on fixing some hail dents in the limited work space.

it is ok for explanation. but most of us need straight forward tips on how to use the tools as DIY and not to listen to talk too much. just want to know how straight forward. no tips that make us feel tipsy. just tell how you use the tools. it is boring otherwise cause need to fast forward in what you try to already explained. hmmm, I wait to long. I think I gonna fast forward in what you try to share here. it feels boring though cause you not try to teach us, you are selling the tools.
