Reamping in Reaper with a Blackstar ID:Core Amp

I recently decided to hook up my Blackstar ID:Core 10 V2 amp to my computer for practicing and thought it would be good to use it for reamping.
I normally use Mixcraft as my DAW and after spending hours figuring out how to reamp in that, I thought I would see if I could also get it working in Reaper as I thought it might be useful information for Reaper users. I have never used Reaper until attempting this.
There were a couple of things that nearly made me give up, but I finally figured them out. This information is shown in this video.

Thanks Rob!! I try and do my best when I can. I have had the ID:Core for a few years now and have never really used it because of how I do things and the time of day etc. I figured setting it up as the audio interface on a secondary computer would give me the chance to use it more. After figuring out how to use it in Mixcraft, I figured I would see if I could get it to work in Reaper as I know a few people use that and the info may come in handy someday. I think you can probably do the same thing with the ME80. It just needs to have the ability to use USB as in input as well as an output.

I had to do this a few times when I am actually using a microphone with a physical amplifier. I’ll do post EQ but also add just a touch of reverb.

I'm not a user of Reaper and hadn't even heard of Reatrack until I looked it up just now. I created this video while using a demo version of Reaper because I thought it might help people to reamp their music. Sorry, I can't help.

Hello I have a silverline and there are only channels 1 and 2 for me and I've changed the audio mode in the software to reamping and it still doesn't work. Can you please help

Have you tried looking at the ASIO driver? It needs to be switched to the Blackstar amp and have channels 3 and 4 enabled. It was a long time ago I did this and I haven't used it since I did this, plus I have never used Reaper, I just did this for a friend. If you check Reaper there should be a setting somewhere to select the channels and that will be affected by the ASIO driver. I used ASIO4ALL others may differ. Sorry I can't be much more help. I hope it has given you something to check that may help.

@@ccjmusic thanks for the help I solved the issue. The issue was that in the blackstar architect software you had to set the audio to mono emulated/clean recording instead of reamping. It was more logical at first to set it to reamping but I didn't get any signal that way. I saw that it didn't work and I tried to do the thing in this video and check the channels but there were only 2 showing up (2 ins and 2 outs) and as far as I know the amp doesn't have any more channels through usb. Maybe the story is different for fx loop or other outputs etc.
