The medic shotgun does insane damage and penetrates pretty decently. Spamable, mag fed, manageable recoil, healing darts, the only downside is the ammo capacity is a little low but you’ve killed a lot of zeds by that point

Fun fact: the mine reconstructor I noticed by a teammate in the mine stage using that to basically cut off enemies from advancing and they were doing it better than me and I was the support class. My initial thought was "what gun is that? It's beastly". In tight corridors, it's pretty much the medic's best weapon to prevent enemies from advancing. Though kind of awkward a support would be standing behind a medic when normally the roles should be in reverse for teams.

I notice the Hemogoblin is actually hitscan outside of Zedtime, the effect is instant then the darts catch up to it. Although it is not really noticeable unless you are making a pretty far shot. Is that a new thing in the update to it?
@ReapeeRon3 жыл бұрын
Awesome, I always assumed that it wasn't hitscan because of the projectile. I don't know if that was in an update or it has always been that way.
@lamezzrulezz3 жыл бұрын
The Incision actually has auto lock on the healing darts, the reason you see a difference compared to the darts is the " healing darts travelling speed ". Regular healing darts in zed time you can see them curve to a player simply because they travel at a much slower speed and the healing darts with the incision travel at speed that make it look instant, therefore they dont have the time to curve.

Ya, you are right about that.

For anyone that is curious about a good solo build that I've been enjoying: I play endless solo to level and I found that the SMG paired with the Hemogoblin go really well together. My medic has a perk build of RRRRL for solo, and those perks make it really nice. * SMG with those perks has a 60 round mag, and once fully upgraded can even take out Fleshpounds and Scrakes if you're in a pinch. (Might need a full mag for Fleshpounds though). Another great thing about the SMG is the extreme control it has. The recoil might as well be non-existent, which really helps with nailing headshots consistently. * Hemogoblin with those perks has an 11 round mag, and can be upgraded. Even without upgrades, this weapon is really good for taking out tanky enemies and giving yourself some breathing room (watching a slowed down Fleshpound try to chase you while debuffed is funny). The Hemogoblin is also a great boss killing weapon. It... -- Obliterates Patriarch (I can kill him pretty regularly before he can even regen once. The bleed effect will even kill him when he's out of my line of sight most times) -- Makes Abomination much easier (even wears out his armor plates pretty fast) -- Makes Imposter Dracula more tolerable (just use SMG on his shield phase) -- Spam on Matriarch's head if you can get the shots in, otherwise will still whittle her shields down pretty well Once both weapons are fully upgraded, they pair up perfectly at 15 weight. I used to prefer using the shotgun paired with the standard assault rifle, but in solo play the need for fast recharge healing darts is non-existent lol. I also found the damage of the shotgun to start to become lacking without sufficient weight available to upgrade it. I was surprised when I was outkilling with the SMG compared to the shotgun. I feel like this loadout plays really well into any gamemode for solo play as you can start it early (you could even trade in the Pistol for the SMG at the end of the first round as long as you have at least 550 dosh by the end) and it upgrades progressively as you play through whatever mode you are in. My general progression is: Pistol -> Trade Pistol for SMG -> Hemogoblin -> upgrade SMG progressively until it costs 1500 for the final upgrade -> upgrade Hemogoblin x2 -> upgrade SMG to final. I tested this build for my daily the other day which was to play Elysium on HOE difficulty. I cleared it with barely any difficulty whatsoever (just had to kill priorities on the go and kite around the map). Give it a try as it's a fairly fun loadout. Anyway, that's my current build that I wanted to share for current version KF2. Enjoy :)

I love the Healthrower. It's not particularly expensive and can really save a teammate's life if they get into a jam (cornered by a scrake/Fleshpound, for example), and it really works well at taking out little zeds, allowing your team to focus on bigger threats. Generally I run it and either the Hemogoblin or Shotgun even on larger maps.

I've recently prestige'd my medic (first-time prestige-ing any perk, really) and up until lv25 my loadout has always been 401 and 501 because its easy to understand, rifles do rifle things. Watching this video has made me switch to 301 with either the healthrower or hemogoblin. It really works synergistically. The shotgun as my main killing weapon and depending on the team, I use healthrower as a group heal tool and trash killer or use hemogoblin as a big zed debuffer and backup for my shotgun as I help the big zed killer of the team. I now appreciate more of the medics arsenal instead of just using rifles (nothing wrong with that ofc lol)

I was going to argue for the incision but I completely agree that it falls a little flat on claustrophobic maps, you end up using your hemoclobber/whatever backup 75% of the time in those scenarios Also, totally agree with the Hemogoblin's placement, it's a complete monster against bosses, so much so that you will only need a backup if they have shields

One thing I got to say I really like about your videos is that you go into details about the pros and cons about the weapons. Everyone else who covers this game 's weapons are pretty terrible. Who ranges anywhere from "I just love or hate this weapon" as their basic explanation or another person who just obsesses over damage per second. Actually one video by of those damage per second obsessers actually thinks the caulk n burn is the best starting weapon while listed weapons like the fire trench gun, Mkb carbine, and hemogoblin as the worst weapons in the game and I'm thinking "is this person high?" This coming from someone whose favourite classes are Commando and Firebug. Of course I think the real answer is that it's another PC player who uses their trusty cheat codes so things like ammo, money and any basic issues to people who actually plays the game legit would be thinking about first before firing endless bullets for highest DPS becomes their only way of thinking. Caulk n burn? Really? That's like the worse starting gun in the game with it's low damage and short range. It's terribleness only becomes a little less transparent once you unlock high capacity fuel tank, ground fire and heat wave but even then you basically have to have endless ammo to be taking full advantage of all those features to think that gun is remotely decent. Only time I use it is to save money or ammo for the better weapons. Hemogoblin is the medic's 3rd highest damaging weapon with pretty cheap ammo cost and more spare ammo than the shotgun. Mkb carbine is easily in my top 4 non DLC Commando weapons.

@@-_--lj6qo Um, the medic shouldn't be the one trying to take on big zeds to begin with. I only played that class a few times, but even I knew medic's first priority is to keep teammates alive and stick to killing small to medium zeds since their weapons are generally weaker in comparison to their counterparts. Big zeds only if you have teammates with you, but always act as a support gun on the team when it comes to killing. Otherwise you miss the point of being a medic like all those random teammates I get who plays support or medic then proceeds to run off on their own and away from their teammates like they're the enemies.
@entertainmentfan14633 жыл бұрын
@@-_--lj6qo What part of the concept of medic's healing teammates first and acting as a support gunner second are you having a hard time understanding? Are you one of those players who tries to go solo and all Rambo with every class I see in random team matches? Erm, if you have a sharpshooter or demo as teammates and large zeds are approaching, YOU LET THEM SHOOT THE LARGE ZEDS FIRST! Then if they fail to kill the large zeds with their initial shots, you pull out the hemogoblin and finish them off. Even better if the sharpshooter or demo is a different direction from you and the large zeds have their backs and heads exposed to you. This isn't rocket science, it's basic logic which many people seems to lack now these days. Gee by your logic if small zeds are coming from every direction and you're a demo with a RPG and you have a Commando, SWAT or firebug teammate nearby, you're going to waste that RPG on that small zed instead of letting those teammates take the kill?

It's kind of strange you ranked the Incision as the 3rd worst Medic weapon while you ranked it as S tier in your tier list. This gun is still the best weapon for Medic against big Zeds and bosses, even in small maps. You just need to pair it with a small Zed killing weapon like the 201 or 301 to make it work well. I would still rank it in the top 5 because it compliments trash Zed killing weapons well. The Hemogoblin is best for boss waves as the debuffs makes the team take far less damage and makes the boss easier to out run. But I would not take it for normal Zed waves as it is overkill at killing small Zeds and you will run out of ammo fast. Unless you and your team are really bad at killing big Zeds, shooting big Zeds immediately with the Incision is more dps than debuffing them 1st with the Hemogoblin and then shoot them with your main gun.
@ReapeeRon3 жыл бұрын
Ya, I would agree with that. I just find it by its self not the best on really small maps, also it is really hard to rank the medic weapons as all of them are really good.
@ZeroSumGamer3 жыл бұрын
@@ReapeeRon Also, you said the movement speed reduction from Hemogoblin does not stack if you shoot the same Zed multiple times with it. But does movement speed reduction stack if multiple Medic shoot Hemogoblins at the same Zed? Or if you shoot Hemogoblin 1st then switch to the Vampire? Or if you shoot Hemogoblin while a SWAT with Cripple and a Gunslinger with Skullcracker also shoot the same target?

The medic is the most difficult class to play as, because they have to adapt to every group of morons. You're going to suffer no matter what, but the important thing is that while your team gets hurt, they don't die. Sometimes it ends up with everyone dying, because they're utterly pathetic, no matter what you do, because occasionally even your sacrifice can't save the team. The important thing is that the team's failure IS NOT YOUR FAULT! They stood in the fire/poison. You did your job, they overwhelmed you. Keep playing medic, you'll be appreciated in higher difficulty levels.
