That is true the tommy gun sights are pretty narrow and kind of blocky when trying to look around them.

M16 FN FAL is my usual loadout, but im going to try the medic rifle in the future. Its fun having a "delete a bloat" button, and the FAL melting Scrakes and Fleshpounds is super nice.

You have to use the scar with the 2 ammo perk bro, this way it will have 50 round in mag + low recoil + high rate of fire + low weight + a lot of ammo to use. Making it the the best weapon for commando, ever! I use scar + ak if the team has a good medic and I can focus more on dps, or scar + hmtech GL healing rifle if I need to heal team.

Only just came across this series, really informative, so well done. One of the things to take into account, and it really stands out in Commando builds, is stumble power. You talk about the damage per shot and RoF, but for me one of the massive benefits of the 401 is its 25 stumble power. Mid game I usually switch from fallback to impact rounds to take advantage of this. Using the 401 as the trash cleaner, when a heavy comes into view, let him have a few rounds to get him stumbled - this gives you plenty of time to switch to the SCAR and finish him off. This also helps negate the somewhat small mag size of the SCAR.

NAILED IT! Medic AR is hard to pass up in any Commando build. A lot of people think Commando’s a strict small and medium zed killer, but with a SCAR or M16 M203 and FN FAL, you can be a pretty effective big game hunter.

I really like the Medic ARs and yes Commando can kill large things, not as easy as some classes. But they can still do it.

Yeah, it’s definitely much harder. M16 load out is much more forgiving, but if you know how to run the map backwards and can hold full-auto on continuous headshots, you can take down single big zeds. I’ve been running Survivalist with a really fun loadout lately; Winchester, Medic SMG, and either 1911, Deagle/S&W.500, or, dual Deagles/S&W .500s - very powerful build and will definitely have you on the leaderboard in several categories at the end of a round.

If the M16 had more ammo (let's say 100 rounds) for the rifle itself, I would argue that it would be just as good as the Medic assault rifle. I usually take the Medic Assault rifle & the M16. Medic assault rifle is obvious, I use it for trash clearing & healing, M16 I bring out whenever there are any big zeds coming my way. Even for the Scrake which is resistant to explosives, having the ability to stagger it can be a lifesaver in certain situations.

The M16 is great, and if this was my favorite Commando weapons then the M16 would probably be my second favorite right behind the Stoner.

To me commando's weapons are fine but I don't particularly like them as much as their cross perk ones, I usually take the tommy gun (a little weaker but has a huge magazine and a lot of ammo) for trash clearing and the Fn Fal (scar levels of damage but with full penetration and very little ammo) for big targets as they cover each other's weaknesses ammo-wise

I can relate, I'm not a huge fan of Commando's weapons either but using the FAL and the TommyGun should work just fine.

Great review, thanks! We want more! 😀 My favorite loadout for Commando atm: upgraded Scar + 401-Medic Assault Rifle + Medic Pistol. Good against trash and medium zeds as well as extending zed time, and I take the role as team's secondary healer. I use Fallback since 401 has nice stumble power already. The main weakness is that I'm uneffective against Fleshpounds, but this is the way I like to play Commando. I never use 501 since I'm in a habit of believing that it has bad recoil. But apparently I should give it a new try. You think I should replace upgraded Scar and Medic Pistol with 501?

Thanks, glad that you enjoy it! I like your loadout. You could switch those over to the 501 medic rifle if you want. I would, but I really like the medic grenade. If you don't care for it so much than just go with what you like.

I really love ar-15 gun just because it have cheap ammo per clip and it have decent firepower, rate of fire and accuracy. I personally prefer this ar15 gun over AK.

Yup, cause they still count as perk weapons.

Yes, but you will get more XP based on what class you are using. So if you have the Medic Ar on Commando most of your XP will be for Commando but a small amount will go to Medic and Survivalist

How is this video different than your Commando tier list video? You are ranking weapons as well as strengths and weaknesses of each of them in both videos. Anyways, does the FN FAL scale well with upgrades? Do you notice that the AK 12's recoil is more erratic than the other assault rifle's recoil? While the 501's and FAL's can predictably climb up with auto fire, the AK 12's recoil can bounce to the upper left or to the upper right, making this gun hard to aim at long ranges.

This is very similar to the tier lists, but some comments have wanted to see a video in this format more so than the Tier list style or a top 10 style. So a lot of the information is the same. The FAL does scale good with the upgrade it goes from 70 damage up to 80 which is the same damage per shot as the base Winchester. The AK does seem to have a more erratic recoil pattern seeming to go up and then kinda bounce back and forth from right to left. I'm not sure why that is the burst fire seems to be more vertical.

The stoner LMG vs minigun thing I think it comes down to how well people understands the pros and cons about each weapon. So here are the pros of each. stoner: - better iron sight - less initial cost - less initial weight so carry better weapons un-upgraded That's really it. minigun: - better damage per shot - good against all enemies - has less recoil and can hipfire better with it - 1 of 3 commando weapons that can do piercing damage, and killing more zeds in one shot if they're lined up, which leads to - good against fleshpounds and quarterpounds due to the extra piercing damage which they're more vulnerable to - has faster firing rate - despite faster firing rate, actually conserves ammo better due to it's slower start up - bonus against bosses - refills ammo faster/gets more ammo per refill That's pretty much it. So personally I think the minigun's pros outshine their cons when in comparison to the stoner. I wonder how people would feel about the minigun if it weighed 9 instead of 10?

@@ReapeeRon True true. Speaking of miniguns, now I'm thinking more about Far Cry 6 since you get a gatling/mini gun in that game and for sure can carry it with other good weapons. Only other Far Cry game the gatling gun be in is the FC3 spinoff Blood Dragon and I'm pretty sure the 6 shot grenade launcher is making it's debut in the game.

I’d argue the AR-15 might actually be the worst weapon in the entire game, even compared to other starting weapons. It’s pretty weak, to the point where you’d be better off using the pistol or knife with the fallback perk, and it has a 3 burst with a 20 round mag. C r I n g e
