Just so you are informed Shinobi, phalanx is pronounced "Fay-Lanx" and is also the term used for certain shield and spear formations used in ancient times by Greeks, Romans, etc Great video btw

Fay-Lanks, bro. Great video though. (Watch 300, the Spartans all use the spears, and the formation they fight in is called a Phalanx. It's basically an impenetrable, spiny box of death.) Also, you should socket your pants with a Topaz instead of a Diamond. Instead of the +62 all res you'd get from the diamond, the Topaz will give you 10% of the int bonus in res, +140 from the Finery passive. Overall your all res will go way up by getting RID of one of those diamonds.

Thank you for the video, the crusader class looks very interesting. If you have time can you showcase a Barbarian in ROS? I played the PTR 2.0 patch and is seems that HOTA is still mostly intact but the speed and fury generation of WW is dead. I like HoTA builds but really enjoyed the speed and efficiency of classic D3 build.

Phalanx is a Greek word. It's the word for the pike and shield formation that were used by, among others, Alexander in the classical era. Also, being a gamer is no excuse to be ignorant about things. I'd actually said it is less of an excuse than many other "occupations", since you learn a fair bit about things while gaming if you try. ;)

To be fair Shinobi , We got to MP10 so quickly because most of us bought gear from AH and this has been taken away and we have to farm gear it will take more than a year to get gear on 1 hero alone just to farm torment 6 . And I think that they increased drop chances while it was in beta i never read anything about it. If u have any helpful info plz say so just voicing some thoughts .

Shinobi, I have an advise for you.... If you replace one of all resist gems in pants you will get 70 all resist instead of 62 and another 70 because you are gona have all gems... thats 78+ ;)

couldn't help but notice that you said you only needed a topaz to get all the colors and get the most of that passive resist. If you take out a diamond from you legs and replace it with a topaz you're actually gone a gain 70 resist all.

Hey Shinobi, nice video. The one skill you're talking about, Phalanx, it's pronounced FAY - LANCKS. Go google it, it's actually a real term for an old military formation in ancient greek warfare.

I personally thinks that the main focus of Crusader is cooldown reduction. Once blizzard nerfs that, its gonna be trouble.

3:15 are you fucking kidding me ? Its just an ability that gives the crusader a movement speed increase and the animation of it is a warhorse. It has nothing to do with a mount you would see in a game like WoW or other RPG´s/MMO´s

finery looks like it would give you 140 resist for a topaz in your gear. you should remove a +62 resist for a topaz

I know you said you didn't need a topaz but wouldn't it be an upgrade? The best diamond you can get gives 70 resist all, and the ones you have in your legs isn't giving 70 resist all. So let's say the diamonds in your legs give 60 resist all, if you put a topaz in you would gain approximately 80 resist all if i'm not mistaken ^^

shin, if u use refinery, why dont you replace 1 of your all resist gems into a yellow gem wich gives you that 350 all resist PLUS the 70 you would normaly get with the all resist gem... :P

The "rape beam" or "Heavens fury" aint as overpowered as you would think, if you consider the monks cant remember its name (the giant bell thingy) that does 800% damage and can cost down to 25spirit i think on the monk meaning you can spam it 3-5 times depending on the amount of enemies without having a cooldown. So Heavens fury equal to that monk spell is just WEAK. (just saying to those who mean its incedibly overpowered, that they should really consider what they mean overpowered is) ;)

It's sad to see, how much Blizz has nered the Phalanx (15 sec cooldown to the 30wrath cost as extra), the huge nerf to the healing rune to Smite you are using (with the actual heal ammount it's useless), and wooow in the beta the Fist of the Heavens had 440% Weapon dmg, :O Now, with the actual 250%, it's a "fun to use spell", but i had to throw it away, and use sweep attack, because it just does not enough dmg to monsters, not like sweep attack, and with it you can stun or pull the mobs towards you. (dmg+ usefull spec effect on it) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think, in the beta, the secondary skills are better balanced in comparison to each other.

This is not mount rather another Dashing Strike or Blink ....etc Phalanx (Φαλαγκα) is a Greek work for a parallel battle formation and as all greek words are hard to be pronounced :D

Ok..let me explain why what you are saying about overpowered abilities being ok for torment is wrong. Well quite actually because overpowered abilities will always be used in every kind of spec, and if you don't use them just because you want to be different you will feel like an idiot, and rightfully so. All abilities must have a balanced cost depending on their power, but in the current state of diablo 3 there is no such thing as a cost good enough to excuse the power of "Wave of Light" or other Crusader skills etc.

What is it with characters in D3 and not being able to simply attack with your wielded weapon...??? It looks CRAZY that this crusader is running around with a cool looking axe and he doesn't take a swing with it AT ANY POINT?!?! In stead he shoots fucking LIGHTNING from his AXE wielding hand...??! That's just pointless.

lol he has abilities both melee and ranged that can be used depending on what you prefer so yes he DOES use that axe but he was using the chains cause it hits many more targets deeper into groups i how ever prefer the homing hammer cause of the 200% weapon damage :P
