Hi Kenny, first of all I wanna thank you very much for all your work to diffuse the knoledge of Reaper, this a great help for many lovers of the music. Then I would to ask you a suggest for one of your video. I think it would be very useful if you could make a video about how to create a good brass session in MIDI (I mean one instrument at once, how to arrange simply and fast 3 or 4 horns for funk or soul music). There are no video in internet about this. Thanks again and good job!

"I'm not very good of a keyboard player." And in other vids "I'm not very good at playing drums live." = Grammy Award.😂

What about the MIDI velocity of each note? I have found when trying to do step recording from a velocity-sensitive keyboard that the velocity of each note is taken from the MIDI input from the keyboard (ie how hard you hit the particular key). This isn't necessarily what you want, especially if you are not a great keyboard player. Is there a way to cause all step-inputted notes to be a fixed velocity?

Tried it out in the newest version of Reaper (Windows 11). The notes don't get recorded 😢

Found out, the midi device you are using must be available as an “all input” device. Check it under preferences/Midi Devices - a dot has to be set at the “all” colum.
