On every brake job, I always pull out the slide pins on the caliber. Clean them up and add high heat nickel anti-seize. This will prevent the caliber from seizing and pulsing brakes. I think this is a must.

Don’t forget to torque your lug nuts to the correct specs! Star pattern! Very important!

Great video, it’s better to bleed the fluid out of the calipers and not push it back into the lines, it can be an expensive fix.

What did you do to get the parking brake to let go. That black rubber washer you removed and started rotating. What were you doing there?

Do you know of a video of a Ford truck rear caliper with electric parking brake where the caliper needs to be replaced, and separated from the electric part? Need to know how to separate both components since the caliper is defective but am keeping the electric part. THUMBS UP!!!

Dont forget about the adjuster on the parking brake ..did you go over that?

I’m not for certain but I’m pretty sure after you get the rotor down and everything fastened you can go back and adjust that wheel until it’s tight and then back it off one or two pods. Basically you’re moving McAllister closer to it. I’m going up on the driver side and down on the passenger side so you want to get it until it touches and then come back off just a little bit.

Im not 100 percent sure but fins on rotors should be other way around?

You completely skipped over what you did to get the rotor off. Which is probably the most important and hardest part.

@@thedjtko ok, so just like my camper. Wheel up on one side and down on the other. Roll wheel down on drivers side to loosen parking brake. Roll wheel up on pass side to loosen parking brake. Then bang the hell out of it. I rolled pass side wrong way and jammed it until i couldn't move it either way. I drove it after spraying wheel with Wd40. I guess it heated pretty good because it was making a bunch of noise. I checked the wheel next morning and it spun nice and easy. I was then able to get the rotor off and finish brake job.

It is, but it's impossible to show every detail thoroughly when you are 1) doing the job, 2) learning as you go (which is inevitable when working on cars) and 3) trying to hold the camera. It won't take too long to figure out which way to turn it.
