This video is an example for Ford Fiesta. We create an individual parking mechanism to change your rear brake from one system to two systems. (Hydraulic system & Mechanical systems) It guarantees more safety when either one system failed. For Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Perodua, Daihatsu, VW, Mazda, Nissan…… are under development.

We do n’t have a kit to fit 2001 Puma now. (no Puma in our region) The latest Puma may be the same as Fiesta's chassis. As for Fiesta, our kit only could be installed on models after 2008. (Models before 2008, there is no individual hub)

Do remember that these are very precise instruments on every vehicle, and the smallest of play, or friction in cases of overtightening, can easily lead to critical failure of your brakes. If you've never lost your brakes while driving, trust me when I say you don't want to.

To keep the ratio of braking power between front and rear, down the drum to a reasonable size is necessary. Doesn't your Focus come with a 10.7 inches disc in the rear? I checked with our engineer. We don't have a complete kit for Ford Focus drum only system. Your vehicle fits our parking mechanism well but needs caliper and disc to be a complete system. (For our type 2 products, we can provide solution to fit racing caliper, we don't have our own caliper)

In such case, basically, you need to change the whole axle from drum type model to disc type model. Very few cases, the axles were the same spec., then you can change one to another without any modification. Normally, it's a tough job and also cost a lot. (The result is good!) This is why we spend a lot of effort to create conversion kit on average half to one year per kit. We take 3D measurement and create it's structure on computer and simulate all parts we designed. Then the sample making, fitness confirm and procedure improving for friendly installation.

You are facing the same problem as anybody wishes for a conversion kit. That's why we try to solve this problem and start UPI. Unfortunately, we don't have enough power to help individual user separately. Our minimum production quantity is couple hundreds for each model today. Sorry that I couldn't catch quite well. In our Drum in Disk system : Disk brake - control through hydraulic caliper. Drum brake - control through cable. Both functioning individually.

Where can I purchase for 2019 Ford Fiesta ST-Line? I am fairly certain rear drums and setup are very close if not exactly the same as the orginal base models and the like. My fiesta is the 1.6L ''non- turbo/Non Ecoboost'' version with 5spd manual. I believe minus exterior appearance and interior changes (+different muffler) (doubtful but possibly minor suspension changes) it's the same as a base fiesta.

The cost could not compete to the disc only system or used brake kits imported from Japan or U.S. On the other hand, we need a certain quantity to open molds for each model. What we provided is not only a disc brake system, mostly, we provide a possibility for upgrading to 4 pots or racing calipers.

Using the original drum will make the disc very large. Needs to reduce the drum to allow the new discs using the original wheel. The hardest part is to use the original brake cable. Thanks!

Big misconception that rear drum brakes are bad. We all know they are not as good as discs due to the cooling advantages disc brakes have over drum brakes. However, rear drum brakes are perfectly fine for the application! The Majority of Ford fiesta’s weigh 1000-1200kg. 70% of braking power goes to the front brakes and 30% goes to the rear. As most fiesta’s are not used on the track, they will not generate enough heat to require disc brakes. This is why 2019 model fiestas still use them on the rear. (Plus they’re cheaper to incorporate the handbrake mechanism).

You’re better off refurbishing your front brakes and replacing the old disc and pads with premium parts (maybe not so much discs). E.g. using the correct greases and lubricants for sliding pins and the handles on the pads within the Caliper. Also a good bleed can change the feel of your brake pedal.

Personally I don't see any point besides appearance why you need to change drum for disc. I recently upgraded front disc breaks on a ford focus and but higher quality break shoes in the back drums and the stopping power is great. If you look at it this way, whilst discs are great at dispersing heat, drums do the same thing in terms of breaking. Any way if appearance is really making you need to change then I guess it's something you have to do, for me a can of black or colour of my choice, nice rims and a good body kit then it really makes no difference to me.
