One of the Canadian fiberglass campers cost over one hundred thousand dollars. The next less expensive Canadian fiberglass campers cost over seventy-five thousand dollars. Now that is insanity. Even though they are built for Canadian winters, I can't see the value just like I can't see the value in this small camper.

My husband and I really enjoy your tours. We no longer RV, so this fills an old favorite spot in our hearts. The rear door is clever and different. We would have gone w a wet bath to make more space for a corner closet, pantry. It looked like it would be hard to hang coats or jackets anywhere... important as it always rained when we camped.😉

I’m sure they have their place but if you actually stay in RV parks you’ll quickly find that many have sloped spaces/lots to the rear which makes any rear entry (side or at the back) an issue because you’d have a crazy big drop to the ground. If you’re a boon docker camper then this could work well.

nah, not a good boondocker even if it had more battery and solar. Nowhere near enough storage for clothing, food, ect.. This is a single/couple weekend camper.

@@redwolfexr That depends on how and where you remote camp. Solo, couple, family of three, for how long, with what tow vehicle and load capacity for carrying your extended stay necessities. It's far from my choice for such a scenario but I camp and boon dock in a lifted/modified Casita which is far from the standard choice.

@@texlee84 Not even a hanging closet... no pantry space. No generator unless I missed it. Nowhere near enough battery for anything other than driving between power sockets. That sucker is MADE for shore power. I am not saying someone might not do it -- hell people camp in station wagons. But this is mainly a mobile hotel room for weekends. It would need significant upgrades to boondock for more than a single day -- and that is not running anything but the fridge. (at least the cooktop is gas)

@@redwolfexr Oh I agree in terms of storage, it's lacking at least from what was shown here. In contrast, my 2024 Casita Spirit Deluxe has a full wet bath, full custom closet, two place dinette, full kitchen, pantry, a full size bed that can be converted into a 4 place dinette and more than enough over head storage. I have a propane furnace, 13,000 BTU AC with soft start, Deluxe MaxxFan, gas/electric water heater, outdoor shower, solar hookup (400W suitcase), RedArc 2000W inverter, 300Ah Lithium battery and much more. Now I have modified the chassis to lift it and fit larger AT tires, upgraded the battery, closet, added the inverter etc. but this is now truly a boon docking capable camper.

I would be most comfortable towing with a 1/2 ton truck, set up for towing, (trailer brake controller, good trailer hitch, etc) Let the tow vehicle control the trailer, not the trailer controlling you.

I have a similar camper. Riverside Explorer 135 rear entry. I absolutely love it. Mine has small sofa instead of a dinette.

Literally I loved this wish there was an XL version some how for the taller people like have it a little bit wider and taller and then is damn near perfect just move the sink in the shower to the bathroom and I'd be trying to buy one I honestly love the door in the back like that

If the doors leak air at all.. the inside gets really dirty quick.. and if you take it around in winter snow squalls in the trailer.. Keep an eye on the seals, keep up on the maintenance, and you should make out ok.

I love the rear door and that it comes right into the bathroom area. Great for dirty shoes or doggies. I agree with the others about the sink placement. Should be in the toilet room. A small awning would be a good addition to the rear / door as well.

I have owned 2 Forest River Roos and while some features are great, these need to be built better for the $$ you pay! Let’s improve Forest River…

I think the design is great EXCEPT the bathroom. Who would put the sink IN the shower and NOT with the toilet? I'd love for the designer to explain this. If it weren't for that disconnect, I would have been interested in purchasing it as my Pathfinder could tow it.

My wife and I have a 2022 14CC and really like it. Plenty of room for the two of us. It is light enough we pull it with a minivan. The sink in the shower works well as I mainly use it to shave. We wash our hands in the kitchen sink or use hand sanitizer. In two and a half years we have not had any problems. Would definitely recommend it.

I don't care for the back door entry or the split bathroom. It would be okay for a couple weeks camping, but I am a full time RVer so I am very particular in what I want in an RV. I do like the handle to lift the bed, I'm going to look into adding one to my bed.

Yes, rear entry is what I prefer. Plus the longitudinal sleeping vs lateral sleeping. This keeps the width of the camper smaller. The early 70s Compact camping trailers were perfect. Small height with a pop-up center where you walk most for more interior height. Rear entry, front dining/bed, kitchen over axle. Some would have an inside bath as well. Simplified camping. Adding today's 270* awnings, you could have a covered exit/entry and a side cover as well. If you get both right and left awnings, then have a complete wrap around covered space. Many awnings have sides as well. Mind you, its not completely enclosed, but, to me, that's more camping than driving an expensive house. I prefer a hard side sleeper than a soft tent and a rolling mini-house. Kitchen should be outside anyways. If you're camping cooking inside, to me, its not really camping. I get the concept of bad weather cooking inside, but then its a simple meal, nothing that requires 2 burners, multiple pots, etc. cause bad weather is very short term.

I currently have a Sunlite 16BH with the standard suspension. If you have to raise the front to much to level it the rear steps can't be lowered enough to close the door. If you have the "off road" suspension it helps with that problem some.

This reminds me of my overcab slide in camper, does not have slide outs so would be considered mid size. I like my full wet bath so the separate toilet seems like a waste of space. I use my outdoor shower in the summer, most the time I’m out in public lands boondocking

I would be worried about dust coming in from washboard dirt roads, especially once the trailer gets older and the seals fail from door sag or something else that compromises the seal. Decent set up if you are not taking it off road, minus the sink location.

Like it overall. Toilet area perfect for cabinet and mirror. I’d want cassette toilet with exterior access to the suitcase tank. Gray water and more fresh water as well as a filtration system instead of soap dispenser. I’d want bed with ability to raise head up for tv and reading.

Our truck camper sometimes needs an extra step at some campsites, so we carry a folding step stool. Does this camper come with one or more fold out steps? A back door is no problem to get to the “picnic” table and grill / fire pit areas. We do have a side awning we use when needed.

At that price point, they could have put more thought into the design. Starting at the door, I like the door placement. That’s cool. But it should open in the direction of the camp side, not the direction of the neighbors side. The sink in the shower makes no sense, it should be in the toilet room and equipped with a proper faucet for hand washing. A Murphy bed would be nice, so there is a comfortable place to sit during the day. A flip top on that storage at the head of the bed would have made sense.

Nothing like the amount of dirt or mud on the rear of any RV after a few miles down a gravel road wet or dry. Maybe install a shower head unit close enough so you can clean it off before tracing all that crap into the unit.

No, a rear door is not practical. Where do you keep your trailer, do you have space to comfortably pack your trailer going in and out of the door? Most people have it stored in compact storage places or at home in an area that is tight and backed in. So you would have to move it maybe forward in order to get into it. Maybe blocking part of the road or other hazardous issues. Personally, I prefer the side door. Should you have to park at the curb at home so you can pack I would think the side door is a safer access to your trailer. Of course that is just an opinion and everyone should go by their own preferences.

So much engineering stupidity. Remove the stupid shelf at the head of the bed and put a standard queen 60x80 in there for tall people(as many are). Thermostat next to entry door is dumb. Remove sink in shower and put in with toilet where it belongs and give more room in shower. Go back to the drawing board and allow more headroom in shower. Way too short. Makes you wonder what kind of idiots are designing these things.

Everything is totally wrong with this camper. To start both bathroom and shower door open the wrong way. The sink absolutely positively should be in with the toilet. Then you could have an actual wet shower. The door in the back is cute, but it is not under the awning or where most of the activity is going to take place which is on the side. I would say 90% of the campgrounds I have been in a rear door will make you walking into the woods. Once again, Forest River has no idea how to build a camper. I have a gray wolf 19 RR that I had to change the swing on every door in the camper and about 20 other modifications to make it even usable. My friend say I should be working as a consultant for forest River.
