Thanks for this video. I used the advice a lot as I replaced the leaf spring and shocks on my 1980 Spitfire. My car is a daily driver and I love the changes in look and handling. It did take about 10 times as long to do the job as it did to watch the video and I had the assistance of a mechanically adept friend. Cheers🙂

I followed your video, GREAT HELP!!!... the only NIGHTMARE (in my case) is putting the old bolt thru the new cylinder/bushing and also placing the flat metal in between the first 2 longest layer.

The lower plate and pivot bolt MUST go back in as an aassembl, the same way it came out, make sure your studs are symmetrical to the knob on the spring ITS IMPORTANT. I used a caliper and a bar to make sure the studs go in. Take your time... you'll get it

@@antifatbastard no problem, This is what I learned after having The spring in and out about a dozen times, it's enough to drive you mad. On the up side I'm pretty good at Remove/Replace the rear spring LOL

I just received my new spring. It has three spring brackets on one side and only two on the other. Is this correct and if so, do I take the one off from close to center so they are even and have two on each side?

Actually it is the top leaf that ALWAYS breaks on the oem spring. Coil over air shocks can also solve that problem.

Theres A LOT you don't show or say!!! That spring can't be taken out unless you have 2 people, for example.. Its a very time consuming job and a lot more to it, than what you show..

But if this step is not done properly You'll fight it all day. I speak from experience
