I accidentally blew the fuse by using a too high powered tyre inflator. A simple fuse swap fixed it.

Nice DIY. Pls explain how you routed the wire from fuse box to socket location. Did you removed any panels other than the rear cup holder.

I did the wire routing the easy way, by not removing any of the centre console panels apart from the armrest. Basically, you need to tuck and tie it as you go along the course behind the steering wheel and just tucking it in the centre console area. Start from the socket area and tuck the wire from under the lower edge of the driver's side panels, into the hollow space of the centre console area. Direct the wire up towards the back of the steering column, tie it up to any secure structure and then finally route the wire tip to the fuse box area. Make another final tie somewhere there.
