Well worth the time and effort to keep the panel distortion free, saves time in the end and produces a better end result.

What gets me with all these repairs on old Mini's is how do you know the car is staying square and true. Always wondered that 🤔
@SimpsonsClassics3 жыл бұрын
Loads of measurements and praying I think. I guess we can only do what we can 👍

@@SimpsonsClassics thanks. Really appreciate anyone who is keeping these cars on the road. The work involved is unimaginable. Great work.

Nice repair, ive stayed away from using air to cool the welds, heard it can add moisture. Not sure how true it is but kinda makes sense unless you run filters etc.
@SimpsonsClassics3 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy, I have never heard that. But I guess unless you run a filter it’s a possibility. Lucky I do run a water trap. Very valid point though mate 👍

Love your work. I've got exactly this job to do and as usual you're showing me how to do it! I wasn't sure how the stiffener was meant to fit so it was good to see that. Can you tell me where you source your nightfire red? Is it a good match?
@SimpsonsClassics3 жыл бұрын
Glad to have been some help buddy. It was all new to me and took some fitting for sure. I get this stuff from Halfords it’s a decent Match only been using it for all my closing bits but it’s nice to know it’s all sealed up. Cheers for watching 👍
