This may sound mad but could you fit a full sized labrador in the back if you rear sear delete? Fill in the step down with more wood so it's all flat and obviously no bar, would you fit a dog in there without the rspca being called?
@TheParrottBros Жыл бұрын
Yeah course you can, you can test the theory, take the base of the rear seats out then fold the upper parts down. This will then lay flat as if you’ve done a seat delete ;)

I a really enjoying this vid. Thank you I have made my ownnow, following most of these ideas. I used aluminum instead of wodd. Is it possible to know how the bottom part of the net was fixed? Thanks
@TheParrottBros Жыл бұрын
That's brilliant, the net is held down by a strip of metal sewn into the bottom of the net which bolts to the floor, if you have made a metal floor you could quite easily put a couple of rivnuts in it to be able to secure something down

Id like to see a rear seat delete that incorporates a foldout or fold down mechanism, as those original fold down seat anchors are the best. A lot of time went into designing that whole rear part of the car. With the seats folded down its a great space. with the rear seat delete...not so much. Maybe one those 4x4 draws that can slide out to make the rear floor the same as the original seats folded down, and double as storage and floor strength. Ive ratchet snapped down gearboxes in the back of my mk1 TT. :)

Hello! I’ve been watching a fair amount of your videos, and just now subscribed. I got a question I hope you can help me with. In a few weeks, I’ll be buying a 2001 TT 180 Quattro and would like to tune it. Common advice is to just go with the 225 and start from there, but I’m buying the 180 from a family member at a very discounted price. I’m trying to tune the car to stage 1 or 2, and would love to get your advice on the best mods for hp per dollar. From what I’ve seen, the best option right off the bat is getting an ECU chip. Is this good thinking? I’ve seen APR and Unitronic pop up frequently. Which one would you recommend? After stage 1, what do I need for stage 2? I’ve heard a 3 inch down pipe would be good but 2.5in apparently does the job and is quieter. Would love to pick your brain for a bit to find out what you would do first to improve the driving experience and power of a TT if you just bought a 180 Quattro. Thanks so much man. Keep up the videos!!

I don't like this version. It's just poorly fittet on the plastic cap things, I'd prefer a more stable one like the bws tt ones. These one even stabilize the car.
@TheParrottBros3 жыл бұрын
I get where your coming from, not even the original Quattro sport net bar offers any structure. It’s held on by grub screws and is simply to hold the net up. For structure a bolt in bar is about the only way to add anything, it’s not needed as has the lower support under the rear seats. I tried to provide a way that Is both easy for anyone with limited resource and easily sourced items. The bar is secure won’t go anywhere.
