Possibly a stupid question but can you shut the tailgate while it’s attached . Just thinking if we decided to go for a walk and leave the van while the awning was attached

I have a California T6 also have Tailgate Tent which I have used and now intend purchasing a Bike Rack VW Part No. 7E0071104 will the tent still be able to be attached to the tailgate with this Bike Rack on the back of the tailgate?
