Transit ROCKED in 2008. Alp-44's, single level RVL sets, the right amount of multi-levels, lots of expresses, reasonable fares, all things not present today.

The airhorn heard in this video is a hybrid K5LA, the kind of horn found on an HHP and you can clearly hear it sounding. They are loud.

GREAT NEC action video! I used to ride many a train thru here, behind a PRR GG-1. Fine camera work, no amateur tricks like zooming, which ruins a high speed train ride. Like the map, too! Nice shots of the Hudson Tube portals, and the meadowlands. Where are the ruins of Penn Station buried out here? Can one dig up a piece of it? Cheerio!!!

seems like once you get just west of Newark there is room to run. You have to be going 100Mph if not slightly faster. Excellent video

Judging by the horn (and wheel slip!) sounds like a HHP HAD to be leading this train.

When was this shot?

where is the wheel slip? Do the AEM-7's not do that. I'm sure they do
