For those wondering I found a 1/8th Allen Key works best for those small screws and 3/16th Allen wrench for the larger screws (those being the S.A.E. Sizes) Edit: For the Metric sizes I found using a 3 & 5 work as well, probably a little better than the SAE sizes Hope this helps!

Thanks for the video, had my first flat yesterday. Do you need to undo the screws on the right side of the scooter as well? The cover doesn't come seem to come off on that side, so I'm thinking not..

Yes it should be the same both sides. The cover is just stuck down so prise off with a knife. Sorry you got a flat though 😡

They can seize so you will need to use pliers or a screw extractor or if that doesn’t work you will have to drill them out. Good luck 👍

Thanks for this video! I just got mine and the front tire is already flat. I’m thinking about changing the tires to 8.5” solid tires. Turboant has been awful with getting any help. They won’t reply to my emails. How do I remove the front wheel?

We wouldn't recommend changing to solid tires, especially 8.5" as the quality of the ride will suffer. Mend the puncture, install slime and keep a regular check on tire pressure. Most scooter sellers simply shift the scooters out when sold, these scooters would have had their tires pumped up over 6 months ago so by the time the customer receives them the tire pressure is far too low, normally below 20psi. Removing the front wheel is simple enough. Remove the reflector strip to expose the cover screws and unscrew the cover. Then continue to remove the fender and then the wheel, you won't need to remove the motor wires.

@@HorizonMicromobility I just put 8.5" solid tires on myself and it was such a pain taking the whole thing apart. I don't know if I could do that every time I get a flat. I'm ok with a little rougher ride. I mostly ride around streets and paved bike paths. What does the slime do to help?

@@darianmaurer6519 You shouldn't get a flat with solid tires. If a foreign object goes through the tire the slime helps seal the hole preventing a puncture.

That’s just a ratchet socket. You don’t need this tool as you can just use a hex/Allen key. The ratchet socket is just quicker.

Hi! When I put the new wheel on, it wouldn’t budge. Didn’t turn at all. I then proceeded to loosen the center screw by the wheel on one side and the wheel now rotates! So is the center screw supposed to be slightly loose? And on both sides? Or should the screws be really tight and there’s another issue causing the wheel to be stuck ? Thanks !

The axle should turn within the wheel when turning by hand. Check this before you put back in scooter. If it does and it doesn't when fitted then it's probs been overtightened.

@@HorizonMicromobility The glass went clear through the tire to the tube after 2 years the tread is worn & the new tire comes with tread and a new inner tube. The scooter has stood up to N.Y. winters & extremely hot summers, rain,snow my x7pro has seen it all.🤠

The smaller screws, the ones that use a 1/8th size allen key, are a total nightmare for me, tried 2 different allen keys from 2 different sets and brands an none fit the screws correctly. It's been impossible to take the tire out for me and I need to change the inner tube :/

They will be metric not imperial sizes. They may have seized so will need to be drilled out. You may be able to cut a grove in the head and use a screwdriver

A new tire won’t have the disc rotor. If the old one isn’t bent then just transfer it over. 👍

However, I followed the rest of the steps and put the new wheel on, but the wheel doesn’t seem to turn when I manually roll the scooter. Like it’s stuck. Is it possible I screwed something too tight ? Not sure why the wheel doesn’t move. … any advice ?

I loosened the center screw by the wheel on one side and the wheel now rotates! Phew! So it should be slightly loose? And on both sides? I don’t remember it being loose when i removed the wheel. Thanks for feedback .

The process is very similar for most scooters. Just look for the bolts under the reflective stickers and remove the brake caliper.

So, since this dude doesn't want to reveal what the Allen wrench sizes you need, through trial and error and limited tools, I found that the size for removing the two screws for the brakes is 3/16. If we all work together here, I'm sure we can figure out the other sizes.

If you're using one of the small hex keys, and this isn't providing enough leverage then try one with a longer handle.

Because I don’t know what sizes were used as I didn’t record them at the time. If one size doesn’t fit I simply pick another - but will try and note sizes in future. But to be fair a hex key set and adjustable spanner is all that’s needed.
