I made our tiny dining room into a sewing /office room years ago. We had a cabinet man put in a window seat with drawers and storage. I put fabric for projects and my serger is on it (covered). Cabinets are on two walls and a built in desk and a sewing side with a cutting section and a knee hole for sewing. Lots of drawers. Love it. The living room is a dining room. It is not huge but has a big window and we can eat and have a few of trees and birds. Our den is not huge but it is great. I have always thought a house is yours to do as you wish! Two builders thought I was crazy. Love it.

Laughed right out loud - my dad would say my mouth was my biggest problem meaning sarcasm! Sarcasm - is our 2nd language! My adult daughter says they were raised sarcasm! 🤣🤣BTW born and raised in upstate NY. Transplanted to upstate SC 14 years ago.

I use stitch witchery, or if I can fold it over to help ease extra fabric, or hand stitch.

My formal living and dinning room are my sewing rooms lol keep telling my husband we don’t need the kitchen table so a longarm could go there.

I put casters on my longarm ,so I can move it easily if needed, I too like to have everything mobile if possible
