Inspired by this video, my sewing room is now exploded with crumbs!! I decided however to do this collage-style in smaller wheels. I may appliqué to blocks for a quilt or I may make placemats but either way this is going to be fun! Planning to go light value in the center and graduate outward. Wish me luck!

It does my heart good to see you get "too fussy." I spend a lot of time trying to separate scraps that I don't like together, and watching someone more experienced than I do the same is so very reassuring. I do like watching the whole process. I guess I knew that starch shrinks fabric, but never really thought about it I think hearing you say this made it sink in.

Yes. My main problem is I have no scraps. All I'm seeing is projects for scraps. But every time I make something I use them. Because I prefer to do scraps than traditional quilting. I need someone to send me a few kilos of scraps. I'll swap them for the finished article. But Tracy is inspirational. Just wish my scrap cupboard was a bit fuller. A lady donated a huge load about 2 months ago. I was like a kid at Christmas. I've loads of squares and half meters but I only want scraps. I'm new to this so can't get enough. Lol!
