I never tire of hearing John Lennox. His words are like a balm to my soul, energizing my mind, reminding me of who God is, as well as calming my heart, as though he is reading me a bedtime story. Many continued blessings to him and his family.

What a wonderful, wonderful man! John Lennox serves in part the restoration for my Faith, when frailties creep in to see it wane. His gift to me is personal in that sense, even though I do not know him and yet, I feel that I do!

Magyari Sergiu thanks for your encouraging words and I wonder which of my comments you read. Unfortunately most of my my comments get hidden by being marked as spam and your test might be as well so I can't see it here. Having had a revelation event that frightened me to some extend I find myself in a position to be able to understand the sacred texts in a way that puzzles me as to whay what I can see is not is not clear to everyone else at it is the pure logic. It has fixed my worldview in a way that suddenly i can see the coherence of almost everything. I understand how we got here and were we go and start to become more outspoken about my understandings. you are very wellcome to PM (private message) me - if this text does not get blocked - to have a private discussion.

at 1:13 he comes close to explaining the logical limitation of atheist morality which is based on the self based worldview. The Golden rule is exactly what is says, only golden. God's rule beats it any day. I challenge the viewers to explain the difference between them. Once you understand them you understand why it is the rule of evolution and the basis of stable existence. I would really love to debate this with Lennox one day as after all as a mathematician he should be able to turn this into a mathematical proof.

fourteatwo wow it takes time to comprehend what you have written, are you a philosopher ? i understand the golden rule as "Love your neighbour",or "treat others as you would want others to treat you." the 2 rules are "Love God with all your heart, soul and mind" and "Love your neighbour as yourself" matthew 22:37-40 you make a lot of sense with the competing selfs,i havent looked at it this way before i am a christian and i have had an NDE Thankyou for you giving me your time and explanation God bless

God gave his only be gotten son on the cross to die for us to have eternal life. That is a win win. The hope for the future by faith. That is the core of Christianity. We are not like those who has no hope. Amen. May God our lord Jesus give you more wisdom to win many souls.

Lennox seems to have left a very important detail out in trying to explain the reason for evil , suffering and disease in this world. In the book of revelation, the angels said woe unto the world because the devil and the fallen angels have been cast out of heaven into this world. Evil is rampant in the world because this is a fallen world and it’s king is the devil. Jesus cast out all kinds of demons that afflicted people , sometimes causing seizures and mental illness. Trying to explain an illness like deep depression that plagues a lot of people, using deficiency of serotonin and dopamine in the brain is not recognizing the fact that there could be a spiritual cause as well.

Very good point. We always need to look at the world through the lens of God. Spiritual discernment is vital to dealing with strife on Earth.

@@mick1gallagherread G K Chesterton’s ‘Orthodoxy’. He proudly points out the will for the belief in faeries or father Christmas or mermaids and such beautiful childish make-believe is a sign of a beautiful soul…. He was 6’6” tall and built big and was tough physically - so stop being a girl and think far harder. Christ takes a leap of faith - but on the other side when you land is Truth and a total state of bliss like you have never imagined, nor ever could.

If God created men and angels and gave them free will, then it would be right to say that God created evil. Isaiah tells us this in chapter 45:7. Those who are abiding in Christ are overcoming the world. They overcome evil with good because the Author and Finisher of their faith finished His Father's work , defeated the works of Satan, the god of this world, triumphing over death, hell, the grave, the world, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. God invites us to open our hearts to Him and think with Him, meditate on His word with Him. This is not the same as being double-minded, because the scripture is clear, telling us that the double-minded man is unstable in all his ways and will receive nothing from God. If we are meditating on God's law and reasoning with our Heavenly Father in an attitude of prayer and worship, then we will be fixed and firm in our faith Shalom.

The true meaning of suffering is not only the disbelieving but also the true believing, belief is hardest thing.what do you believe?and measure it with your scale that can be pointed out. Most of the people wear nice dress but it is not clean and washed .Our Lord has won the universe but people don't love Him,love him 10,15,20or more but not 100 percent that is the only reason of pain and suffering
