last month I was in the ER, waiting for about 2 hours to be seen. When my name was finally called, my wife and I started to walk to the desk....I got dizzy and almost fell. An amazing gentleman saw this and caught me before I fell. I never got to thank him properly. I hope he knows how much I appreciate him! Kind people are a treasure!

When our father passed away, no one felt like cooking, so we ordered delivery and when the delivery driver heard what happened he asked if he could pray for us. It meant a lot to us that a stranger cared enough to do that.

In my town/area lol? We always cook for anyone who's lost anyone. A family friend with a girl my age (both 15) recently lost her mother. It was quite sudden. Everyone has been doing so much for their family and today is homecoming so we are all taking pictures at her house in our dresses. We moved and don't have an oven right now, so we can't cook. But we are trying to help in any way we can and she's so excited for us to come

I was coming back from court where I had to declare bankruptcy. My sister had lost her home in the mortgage crash, then her job. I couldn't pay off my debts and support her too. I was pretty low, but stopped to buy a sandwich to take back to the office. I chatted with a really sweet woman about nothing at all. When I got to the register I discovered she had paid for my lunch. I never got to return the favor, but I've made a point to pass the favor on every chance I get. She turned the whole day around.

I live in Maine where we have weather. Last week I slid off the road and landed in a 4 foot gully of slush, utterly unable to move in any direction, this on a back road at night with temperatures dropping rapidly.. No more than three minutes passed when a young man with a big ass pick-up and a chain came along. He got himself absolutely soaked hooking that chain underneath my car and had me out in 10 minutes. He wouldn't take a nickel . The kindness of strangers is an incredible force and I'm more mindful than ever to pay it forward whenever I can.

I was 24/7/365 caregiver for my 97 year old mom and one time rushing through the grocery shopping at Walmart when I returned the cart to the recepticle I left my purse in it. Someone took it into the store to the office and when I got home and realized what I did, I rushed back but didn't have much hope. I would love to have been able to thank the thoughtful person who saved me soooooo much trouble of replacing everything and having to drag mom with me to drivers license bureau!

I did something around those lines for the holidays last year. I was taking the bus to work at the time and I would wear funny x-mas hats to work everyday for the second half of December. One day I had a Christmas tree hat and I would hand every bus driver that day a tiny box I made with colorful paper filled with little chocolates and candy. These drivers joy was amazing.
