I’m not understanding how testosterone takes an “off ramp“ and becomes DHT when you get older (makes your hair fall out). Wouldn’t it make sense that taking testosterone replacement therapy would actually make your hair grow like a younger man?

Testosterone converts to DHT through the 5alpha reductase process. Your androgen receptors in your scalp absorbs that DHT and over time this causes miniaturization. The older we get, the more our hair follicles become sensitive to this DHT.

Mostly accurate. However I don’t think our hair follicles become more or less sensitive to DHT over time, they just continue to miniaturize in response to DHT, gradually producing thinner, weaker, shorter, wispier hair until there’s no coverage.

Take Finasteride....It works. I've been on TRT for 19 years AND I've had a hair Transplant AND I'm prone to hair loss (obviously since i had a transplant right?...lol)

On TRT just take 0.5mg day finasteride, works for me great to prevent hairloss

@@JesusSaves83 couldn't afford it , it was required regular blood test every three months,endocrinologist consults and medical bills are also expensive, side effects of trt and poor results I got from it wasn't worth it at all

Im in the same boat, started experiencing hair shedding so I stopped trt but it hasn’t stop, it’s been thinning more and more 😑

@@rrodriguez5421 it might me vitamin deficiency as well,I was deficient In vitamin d and had thyroid problems, it's not androgens that make hair fall
