Please be wary of Traffic conditions. Over the years due to so much influx of new travelers and new residents, Texas has had to implement a lot of _"new"_ road construction to accommodate for such large changes in population. The bad news about this is the construction process is drastically slow, as in it's been going on for several years now. Please have patience when driving is what I'm trying to say.

@Mecks089 Thank you very much for the useful information. We are a retired couple. We don't need to commute for work every day, so we can handle those situations. Also, I felt the drivers in Texas are so kind and have patiences not like NY drivers tend to hawk right away on the road.
I agree with you! Living in Texas is very comfortable for me as well! I’m a Japanese have been living in Texas with my first son’s family for almost 3 years now. Our neighbors are very friendly and kind😊 わたしは、大学の時にDentonで暮らしていて、 今は、息子たちとFort Worthの方面に居ます。 スティーブさんのお店に孫たちと一緒にうかがいますね♪
Thanks for sharing your experience, Steve. My family moved here in 2004 for many of the reasons you mentioned. Even the California of that era is not the California I grew up in - they used to have excellent schools and a cool car scene, strong economy and all the businesses wanted to be there, and then at the end of the 90s, people began leaving - my family included. Texas has been great and the food, as you mentioned, is so good. I lived in the east side of the metroplex for years, in Allen. I live in Denton County now, which is cool but I miss all my favorite places in McKinney, Plano and Allen. The “yessir,” and “yes ma’am” thing blew my ex wife’s mind when we got here - she never knew there was a place in the USA where people were still polite and courteous. 😂 For BBQ - for you and your viewers, I recommend a little place in McKinney that’s open Friday to Sunday only - Corner BBQ - check them out. The owner makes his own brisket pastrami that is simply amazing. His BBQ brisket is equally delicious. (To clarify, I’m not affiliated with this business- I’m just a big fan - there is an awesome spot in Allen, too, called Big Ray’s - tiny spot, limited parking and awesome BBQ, and then your own cafe, which is 🤯 soooo good!) Thanks for spreading the good word about Texas. Thankfully, the state makes driving JDM cars easy when properly imported - and I love the cheap registration and inspection fees!
Thank you for your always enjoyable delivery. I have yet to visit the US mainland and would love to go to Texas when the weak yen dissipates a bit more. I would also like to visit your cafe.
