Reasons Why I Got an R/T over a 392 Scatpack Challenger

This video is a little insight as to why I got an R/T Challenger over a Scatpack.

the 0-60 is the same because the RT has 100 less hp and can grip a lot quicker. look at the 60-120 and youll see the difference. people are going to be roll racing these cars mostly anyway. the RT is the better option tho because all i hear about with 392s is all the issues they have. 5.7s are way more reliable and have a way better platform to make power on

If you get a car that has more than 500HP you will never use all that power on the road let alone use that 500HP on the road legally. Aim low, aim less, aim more stock and you will honestly have MORE FUN than using all those 800+ HP cars that you will NEVER use on the road. But hey, if you got the $ or need the car for whatever purpose(s) go for it! That’s just my opinion and things my dad has always told me when talking about cars that kill!

Truth be told a lot of these guys aren't doing the math. You'll end up collectively pay double for the srt. Between the car note and the set insurance a 60000 dollar car just became 120000 in 5 yrs.

Last but not least its least likely to get stolen for joyrides. It's not fully guaranteed to be safe. But thieves would rather steal a Scat or a Hellcat over a regular R/T. I can park my car and come back to it. They might break into it to look for something to steal inside but they'll leave the car. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah that’s a good one. But a secured credit card helps you build it faster. Remember to pay the money back and don’t be late on payments or max out the card.

I'm not hating on you. I respect everything you're saying but the money you told me that you modded that you negated your point with me. At least me because at that moment you're turning it into a scat. Even if it isn't an exact representation, you're still heading that direction. So to say you have money that you saved to do mods? Why? You could have just had that put on and all done and have the trim in the badges to boot. So instead of spending that money to make it like a scat pack without having all those cool little trinkets that make it what it is, you just spent the money to make it a scat pack without anyone realizing it's essentially a scat pack. RT. You see what I'm saying. I'm not hating. In fact I like it. That being said, immediately traded in and go get you a scat pack. Your credit just rised a little. When you go back in you can refinance it. What you don't realize is the price that you're going to pay for that. Scat pack is going to be a little bit ridiculously high and then next thing you know you're going to have people contacting you by mail like we can refinance your rate of get you a lower APR and your monthly car note will drop by x amount of dollars. I did that with my vehicle started off very high car payment and within like 6 months I had a chance to refinance it in my car. Payment went from $800 a month for an SS to now 600 now if you can't afford a nice vehicle full coverage insurance. Then you shouldn't be buying a nice vehicle, I hate to say that it's like someone saying I don't like going to the gas station constantly. Then you shouldn't be buying a V8. Plain and simple straight to the point. I have a 2017 Chevrolet SS, not a Camaro SS. Not a Chevy Cruz SS, Chevrolet SS. Cars extremely rare rare than anyhow cap without the supercharger. And I pay $435 a month for just car insurance because the vehicle is completely covered. Front bumper to rear bumper. Anything happens. It goes straight to the body shop to the dealership to wherever and it gets fixed and I go to the rental shop and get a rental for the duration all covered because I pay that amount of money. No headache, no hassle. I'm young but learn from an old man. Why spend your time fixing vehicles? Go ahead spend on something cheap. Spend 3500 4500 on a vehicle which is a lot of money. You can get a decent vehicle but guess what? It's only decent. You're a f****** fixing something. You're doing something it's going to break down probably fairly soon. Be smart, get a nice vehicle, pay the money, pay the insurance in. Just take the bullet and you'll be amazed as soon you'll be able to take that bullet and load it into your own gun and you'll be able to then carry the ammunition. But my best of luck to you buddy. I understand what you’re saying but when I first got the vehicle I really didn’t plan on doing anything to it but you’re right rather than modding and making unreliable I could just go and get something faster that would cost the same amount. I one hundred percent agree with what you said. I just never planned on modding it to begin with I was very hesitant and wasn’t sure if I should just trade it or keep but I do respect what you said. I respect your opinion but I can see why people would prefer 5.7 and not have full coverage. 5.7s can handle much more boost than a 6.4. If you try to do the things that a 5.7 can handle to a 6.4, the 6.4 is going to blow. That being said, correct… if you’re just happy with it stock and maybe one or 2 bolt ons then scat is better. Comes down to personal preference. And my payments are only a couple hundred bc I don’t have full coverage as I am willing to make repairs myself. I’ve replaced a bumper myself which is easier than people think. Some people just want a nice car and for it to be taken care of while others are more lenient, good with their hands and can maintain it themselves. Just depends if you’re person A or B.

I agree completely in the fact and it's fact not opinion that you can build that 5.7 to be just as powerful as a Hell a Hellcat for instance. That wasn't my point. Why building RT within a 5'7 to be a hellcat? You're going to spend the money to do that. The amount of money it would take would be about 30-40 grand on top of the vehicle. If you were to take that money and put it into what she was spent for a hellcat you could get all the badges and all the other cool stuff that goes with it. That was my point. I wasn't making it a point that you can make this motor better than that motor. I'm just saying if you have the money to build anything, why go low to get the trim package that the RT has when it's really not that good in my opinion. Hell the hell cat ain't even that good but it's better than that. That's all I'm saying yes sir

@@mqpar5.795 If you're getting an old school car fixing a bumper is easy. Nowadays fixing a bumper is not that easy. Not to mention if you work and you have the type of money to buy that type of a vehicle. I'm assuming you probably work fairly a lot so you're not going to have time to do that or want to do that when you get off of work. That's why I think having full coverage and buying a vehicle that has full coverage is your best bet. I think in the end he'll save himself a lot of headache if he buys a nicer car. Not to mention he'll get the notariety and his own respect for owning that vehicle but he'll have the proper coverages to just take it right in and get dealt with of a problem arises. I'm just trying to give him a fair bit of advice that I know if he were to trade that vehicle in he could get something that's faster than what he has right now and probably get a better rate because he's now has established credit so that's all I'm saying. I think your points are all valid though
