The news can be SO stressful ! It’s so nice that you guys can disconnect and relax. Not to mention the ability to get adorable healthcare , sometimes in the US people wait to make sure they really need medical attention because of the high costs of ER and urgent care bills ! Thanks for this video ❤❤❤

My wife, kids, and I are taking our leap of faith as well next month! Puerto Rico, here we come baby! Looking forward to keeping up with yall. Stay blessed.

The American system offers a pasture of opportunities guarded by a high level of competition, where competence defined by skills, knowledge, and experience, is ESSENTIAL for success. The idea of the "best" country to live in is entirely subjective, molded by individual needs. My own experience as a lower class CPS adoptee, raised by a widowed mother exemplifies this. Despite socioeconomic anarchy, a clean record allowed me to secure a job working for my local city, where I gave 15 years of service until my subsequent retirement. During this time, I invested and began developing APIs for independent developers. Eventually founding a successful cryptographic solutions company with my wife. Research supports that higher educational attainment and specialized skills correlate with lower unemployment and increased earning potential (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2023), while active skill development can enhance social mobility (Pew Research Center, 2021). In summary, individual agency, competence, and perseverance are crucial in navigating the American landscape, if you lack any of those, you will certainly experience more hardships than not. The American dream is a nightmare for many, but for those who are willing to work hard rather than seeking comfort, this IS the best country to live in, if not for you, then for your kids, who will ultimately experience the benefits of your wealth.

Just saw you on Bills channel. I am here for the month I love it here so far. I am planning to come back in September as soon as mend some loose ends. I am retired from California. I already fill the relaxation and peace. Keeping my self busy at the huge gym they have here. I go there daily for swimming. Well floating. Lol. I came here for this short time to see what I will do and how I will live. So I found it. It is. Just me. Already I am seeing the potential savings. No car. Laundry. Food. I just need to find a place so I can live when I come back.

Omg yes! I’m not African American but I can really relate to everything you spoke about! I’ve been trying to save up money to move to Merida for all the reasons you moved there. I hope I can get the blank out of this crazy country before the election because no matter what the outcome is, there’s going to be some bad stuff happening. I don’t want to be here if that horrible orange creature wins. I just want to live in peace and calm, like the kind of life you described. I’m so happy for your family, so happy you were able to make this move for your mental and physical health ❤ Bless you

Idk, personally I think not wanting to “listen to bad news over and over again” could have been solved by just not watching the news… You speak as though you didn’t have a choice to ignore the media machine. I respect your decision, but think it’s a bit of a lackluster reason to move abroad. You could have found a peaceful nice community in the US and made your peace there. Just my opinion. All the best ✌️

My question is if you are not retired and don't have a online job etc and move to Mexico how do you support yourself even if the cost of living is much lower you would need some type of income.
@Expatbarber Жыл бұрын
If you don’t have a savings that can sustain your lifestyle an online job, online business or freelancing online would be required to live comfortably abroad.

Hello, I always wanted y to o move abroad to Mexico, but the Mexicans that come to America, are very prejudice here in America? Have the both of you experienced prejudice there in Mexico? What is the name of the City again and does it cost more to live in a gated community? How much if you know?
@Expatbarber13 күн бұрын
We have not experienced racism here in Mexico. They look at us as “Americans” and do not look at black Or white in our experience. We have not experienced racism. Gated communities are always more money compared to living among locals.

If you're middle class and living check to check n want to move up to upper middle class or rich then yes America can be tough. If you're content like most Americans you have a house condo lights food electricity water good plumbing among other western amenities you're probably doing better than most globally. Depends on the individual. If you're rich yes America is your playground from San Diego to NYC to Laguna Beach to Aspen.

If you connect this sound to a small outdoor speaker it will help with the barking dogs. It’s a high pitch whistle that humans can barely hear but dogs can usually hear it and they can’t stand the sound. kzbin.info/www/bejne/epTbeIGshraomLsfeature=shared

But what about the plumbing issues? Cant flush toilet paper down the toilet and cant drink the tap water and its annoying when I'm in Mexico for months and have to keep ordering water and having to put toilet paper in the garbage instead of the toilet. This is gross and unsanitary. But I do love Mexico and please be aware that you're not going to escape discrimination here either. You will be treated differently because you are a foreigner and black. And there are separate prices for foreigners and locals. I found housing is more expensive in mexico with and less amenities than houses in the US. There are pros and cons wherever you live. Big cockroaches is also a deal breaker in terms of where I live. In Mexico city you cannot go into a pharmacy and get whatever you want. They require you to see a doctor and get a prescription. They wouldnt even give me an ear antibiotic without a script from a doctor in Mexico city. When i got sick it was nice that I only paid $2.50 to see a doctor. Now, in tourist zones every other store is a pharmacy and they'll let you buy all kinds of medicines that you need a prescription for in the US. I'm in Mexico now. Every area ..city is different in Mexico. Its a matter of what type of environment you like. Me personally, Puerto Vallarta is better than living anywhere in the yucatan peninsula like cancun, playa del carmen, merida, tulum...too touristy. These youtubers can make it seem like theres a utopia where black people can live outside the US without discrimination. And let me tell you, these countries oppress the black/darker people in their own countries. Mexico, costa rica, nicaragua, dominican republic, columbia just to name a few. You will not escape racism and discrimination, but you will eat healthier and feel better because food is natural.
@Expatbarber6 ай бұрын
We actually live here in Merida and can say that we are treated much better here. If you actually watched our video we said that racism is EVERYWHERE. We can only speak from our personal experience as Black Americans. If you actually lived here you would also know that homes with updated plumbing systems similar to the one that we live in has no issues with flushing the toilet paper. Yet another myth about Mexico that you wouldn’t know unless you actually live here. We will continue to promote how well we are treated here in Mexico until we have a different experience. There are different options than being in fear of your life. I am not sure if you are Black because of course you have no picture on your profile but the way you discuss this issue you more than likely do not have personal experiences regarding racism in America.
