My CLOSE call: I was talking to my neighbor and I wasn't paying attention while crossing the street. I didn't realize until we were halfway across the street that the car was RIGHT in front of me. it skidded just BARELY to a stop- like, *really* made a skidding noise. Almost was hospitalized, could have died. I was perfectly fine though, no scratches or anything- just pure shock. You can guess how much attention I pay while walking across the street now--

My close call was when I was sharing a room with a classmate for a school trip and they were having a really asthma attack and I've never had to handle with anything like this, all I knew was I had to calm them down. I made sure they could see me in immediate eye sight and told them to breath and listen to my voice. They slowly calmed down and thanked me. Now I know how to handle similar situations.

My friend once was walking me home in a winter storm where then because of the wind taking the breath out of me and how hard it was to walk against the wind i couldn't move or breathe was when a truck was coming at me and i would have been hit if i wasn't knocked out of the way. Another time i landed on a branch after falling off a hill otherwise it would have been a long fall down. I nearly came close to being stabbed with scissors by my abusive grandpa because i jumped infront of my grandma and he got arrested. I have had other close calls to being hit by cars and a van and nearly drowning twice and was saved by my dad from being attacked by a german shepard.

My close call (my friend almost finding out my anime crush): I know this sounds stupid, bUT IT'S SCARY TO ME OKAAYYYY. So, we were talking one day, and I kept talking about my favorite anime. My best friend knows me, and I don't usually heavily obsess over things. She jokingly asked me, "do you like Dio?" now, I don't have a crush on Dio, so I said no. Then, she asks a terrifying question, "do you like someone from JoJo?" I nervously say no and I think I got a little too nervous and defensive, but she said "I was only jo-joking!" That experience is over, and it doesn't come up again for the next week or two. Then three days ago she low-key insulted me for liking this character- ;-; She didn't know. I'll give her a free pass. But I did get reaallllyyyyy quiet afterwards and started speaking faster than I normally do (I normally speak pretty fast, but now it sounded like I was rapping Guns and Ships). I almost got my eye stabbed out trying to scare my friend in school Edit: lemme explain I walked into class and had this urge to scare someone......when she came in, I jumped up from near the door, she screamed and I laughed. When I sat down like 5 minutes in the class my teacher, ima call her miss k, turned around from the board and looked at me with a surprised look. My classmates turned around and it turns out when I had scared my friend there was a nail poking out of the wall that I didn’t see. I touched my cheek but I couldn’t feel it. So, my classmate, ima call her Lemon. Lemon pulled out her mirror and showed me my face. There was a big cut under my eye. Lemon, miss k, and another classmate (ima call her Lynn) told me to go to the guidance counselor cause my school doesn’t have a nurse. But me with my stubborn self just asked lemon for some of her hand sanitizer and Lynn for one of her bandaids. My teacher wasn’t having none of it and told me to go. I’m insecure and hate walking by myself so lemon, and one of my best friends (let’s say keisha) said they were gonna walk with me. But I told them that I would go and they should stay and learn. So I, slowly made my way across the school yard and none of the three counselors were there..........bruv.... Anyways, I told my teacher and she told lemon to go to the vice principal. I said it was okay and it would heal. But she was insistent and we made a compromise, I would call my mom.....cause she’s a doctor. But SHE DIDNT ANSWER So, I stayed and had a bandaid close to my eye. When I got home and parents saw me THEY WERE LIVIDDDDD My dad wanted to know who the teacher was and how she let this happen but o wasn’t gonna tell him. I just said that she wasn’t in class..... .mind you this was my first year in high school and I didn’t wanna get no one in trouble. My mom said she was gonna get....I think she called it skin glue.....to put the ends together so i would just have a line instead of something big. But my dumb body heals quickly and the edges were already dried so she had to cut it off. I had to wait another 30 minutes so she could go to the hospital for the supplies. Had rub on (what the wordddddd anasthetic? Nah I can’t remember rn), rub on something😂 so I couldn’t feel it but the scab forming was thick and she didn’t have enough so. She cut off some but it ran out and I wasn’t gonna wait another 30 minutes for her to run to the hospital for more. Yh ik I coulda just gone but I hate leaving my house.....insecuritiesssss and social anxiety.........so I told her I could take the pain.....I WAS WRONGGGGG.....at first it was fine but it started hurting the closer she got to my eye....so I told her leave it... uk those scars that aren’t scars but look jello-ish? Well I got one under my eye on the left side of my face.....I hadda walk around with a bandaid for monthssssss When my family members saw me when we visited......they had questions At least once every week until it healed my dad wouldn’t stop bothering me about who the teacher was. It’s been two years and I truly think it’s getting smaller.....my parents used to say they would bro g me to a plastic surgeon when I’m an adult but I always said no cause it’s a part of me and helps me remember the whole ordeal......anyway, Im Still pretty.....or that’s what ppl keep telling me 😖😂 I That’s it.... Another edit: I’m 13 so this happened when I was 11

Almost got ran over crossing my street in 7th Grade (I think), there's druggies and many other dangerous people, so my mother wanted me to use the bus stop across the street so she can see me. And after that happened, I decided to use the bus stop on the corner. It was less than a mile away (probably), I don't use it anymore, since I take online school because of covid. I had a close call once. I was about to drink a can of soda. It was still cold, so I just assumed it was a fresh can. It was open, but I just assumed one of my brothers opened it, then forgot about it. I was so close to drinking it, but I just felt like something was wrong. Where I’m from, giving money back is a very serious thing since not doing so is seen as a sin that will weigh on the person after their death. That’s why when someone dies, you’ll see family members and friends going around asking people if the person owed them money just to pay that debt back :)

One time I was walking home from school and so, my mom was on the other side of the street on the sidewalk, and usually she’s not off work before I get home, and not only that, she had my little sister. Of course this really excited me and without thinking I decided to run across the street and when I reached her, I gave my mom a huge hug. She hugged me back and told me I should look both ways and be more careful because a car was about to drive by. I looked back and a red car was driving past where I ran.

I literally have a friend who I didn't mind giving money to because she doesn't have the best home life (She's adopted by a working class family and her real mother makes barely any money btw I'm also from a working class family) So I would lend her a few £££ because I didn't care but then she would promise to pay it back and not pay it back and nearly every time we got lunch she would ask for somewhere around 50p to £2 and once a gave her £5 and she's even tried to subtly built trip me and our other friend into giving her money. I have had to close calls- Frist close call I was swimming around and I wander into the deep end without knowing it I didn't know how to swim at the time I started going up and down screaming out the best I could help me a adult came over and helped me out and also that same day I was sitting on a blow up thing and when one of adult went on it I feel off and the adult quickly got me back up Second close call I was eating scoops I put the whole thing in my mouth- so I accidentally swallow the whole thing I manage to cough it back up. My close call would have to be when a car had hit my body full force at a 45° angle (which I figure part of how I survived at all was my quick reflexes to make it a 45° angle collision, with somewhat lowered speed, instead of 90° angle). Both myself and the car went the same direction off the road after the impact. I hit the pavement at least 4 times before passing out momentarily. The car was maybe 5 feet from hitting a corner where 2 buildings of brick and concrete connected (90° angle between them, though connected just by that point), and of course the engine wasn't much farther away at all. Fortunately, neither me nor the driver (whom was the only person in the car) were injured in any way that could be identified by the standard procedures. The whole series of people involved aside from the driver were mentioning just how fortunate I was to be alive, let alone without anything to show for it (aside from the mandatory police report and the hospital records). Many factors could had caused a much worse outcome.

Not me but my friends older sister was going to a camp in the mountains a few years ago and it was one of those really narrow roads that’s up like 4,000 feet and just a railing and rocks. Anyway there was a huge 18-wheeler or something and they had to avoid it otherwise they would have hit each other and the wheel nearly slid off the edge- not anything bad but a close call

5:34 this almost happened to me I was at school yesterday my parents were picking me up but they didn't see me so they drove by me I ran after the car trying to find it then I see an oncoming car it drove slower and came to a stop to indicate that I can cross the pedestrian crossing still I made sure to look both ways to make sure it's safe to cross then I crossed luckily while I was crossing I looked to my right (where the car that stopped stood) well the car behind that car came from behind that car and started revewing(sorry for spelling mistakes) the engine and started speeding my way and I was shocked and angry but I ran over the crossing just in time if I may have stood there a few seconds longer I maybe would be in the hospital right now and that person looked like he/she didn't care that they could have killed me because they just sped of and keep in mind that there were lots of other students and other people there anyway I didn't look back I looked for my parents car and potted it on the other side of the road(the side where I was crossing) so I crossed the road yet again and told my parents about what happened people need to learn to follow road rules....😡😑😠

My close call : I was riding my bike with a few friends, we had to pass this parking lot to get where we wanted to go. As I was going past this car it started backing out right when I was there! The car didn’t have its backing out lights on or anything! Nothing happened to me but I am very careful when riding across parking lots now!

I don't remember much because I was barely 2 years old then It was like 12 midnight we're all in my grandparents house, my parents, sister, and a one month old brother We're sleeping on the bed, I was sleeping on the floor on a mat (it's made of bamboo and is quite comfortable) It was raining heavily all day and was still raining, this is a very old house and doesn't have tiles, just cold cement flooring Of course there are cracks in the cement, the ground water was full, the well was full. The water came inside the house about 1½ feet high Here's the best part, my mum wakes up, sees down. Here's what she saw: two year old me, soundly sleeping while floating on a bamboo mat Mind you, I didn't even wake up I was a very sound sleeper, and if there hadn't been a mat, I would've probably drowned lol btw, I was a very very small baby, I'm still quite small 4'11 lol just my genetics My family still laughs about that incident lmao

My sister once had a close call... I was telling her there was a car, but she decided to continue playing in the middle of the street. But then she started running when the car was like super close to her... Luckily she made it without getting hurt...

It's not me but my cousin. So basically when we were tweens we and our parents went to a seafood restaurant. It was small and while our parents were ordering we decided to explore the restaurant. We both went outside where there was a large cage of live crabs. From where they were sitting, out parents could see us and we them. As I was looking around my cousin put her hand into the cage full of live crabs. A big crab slowly moved it's pincer towards her hands. I suddenly looked around and saw her, instincts kicked in, yanked her back just a second before the crab crushed her finger.
