Yes!! Classic 80's Reba. She sang simple songs about real life. She changed after her band died in a horrible plane crash in 1991. She never got over that tragedy. Her records after that reflected the change.

Um, Wow is all I can say. Her live performance has every bit of emotion and "feel' to it as the studio version, better in fact due to the energy she exhibits through her voice. The instruments are a mere compliment to her powerful delivery on this song.

I can relate to this song. I'm now 20. I was stuck on a guy for seven years. He was my best friend, and he had crushes on me a couple times, but he never LOVED me.. as I loved him.. However much I adored him, I moved on. I've met a wonderful new guy! I'm happy! Now my old flame doesn't understand how our friendship has changed. He can no longer spend time alone with me in the close and intimate way we used to as best friends. I'm devoted to another now. It's a painful process for him to grasp.

Yes, the plane didn't crash until March 1991. I saw her in concert later that summer. She had her new band members dress all in black. This video is dated 1987.

Very obviously a lip-sync. One of my fave songs by her over her stellar career. Would have been so nice if she had displayed emotions consistent with the lyrics rather than saying hello to fans (whoever). Simply a very poor ‘performance’ of one of her best songs.
