I read somewhere years ago, that originally they didn't have that piece at the end telling us that it was all a video shoot and none of it was actually real... which is the total opposite of what they're usually going for in a music video.. ESPECIALLY in Reba's because the video's usually paint u the story to see as you listen.. **side note** I MUST SAY that Reba has so many of the BEST music videos I've ever seen as they literally feel like you're watching an actual movie or short film!! Back to this particular video... When Reba watched the finished/almost finished full video, she really felt some type of way about her character blowing them up like that, because she didn't want people to see it and think she could ever get so mad or hurt that she'd even think about that kind of thing! Or think that she could ever even WISH she could or want to cause harm for revenge even if she'd never actually go thru with it! So she came up the idea at the end to sorta lighten it up and make no mistake that it was just a silly type of thing making a video instead of ending it that way and almost condoning that type of thing... I REALLY LOVED hearing that!! I dont even know if that's what really happened or NOT, but i can see it fitting the REAL Reba's character and personality! In my opinion she's just wonderful and crazy talented!! 🤩

Seriously, back then if it was on TV (CMT in this case) there would inevitably be people who thought Linda was really dead and either call CMT or call police. In that vein I always read that back in the 50s Vandenberg AFB in California used to field calls every week of people imploring them to go rescue those poor people cast away on that island (Gilligan's Island). Maybe it wouldn't be taken literally now, but in earlier times some folks used to think those things were real. It was probably why "War of the Worlds" is still remembered and it was a radio program.

I've often wondered that too. She did the demo for the song and that's why Reba chose her for the duet. I will say this, we got the next best thing with Linda's daughter, Hillary Scott. Now that girl has some talent. She auditioned for American Idol and didn't make it very far at all. Now she's one third of one of the most popular country music groups.

Reba was always one of my favorite singers! Especially in the early 90's, my mom had most of her cd's, and we listened to Reba together. I miss my mom, but I'm glad that Reba is still singing! It would be so cool to see her in concert! My mom got to see her in concert with my uncle before she passed away. My mom said that Reba was an excellent entertainment singer. I won't be able to see anyone in concert since I can't work now. I'm a burn survivor now. I was also born three months early, hence my favorite song is I'm A Survivor! Good song Reba!

What I love about Reba, is that she does these mini movies. It is not just her up there singing in her underwear like Cher and her ilk. She is a class act all the way.

Her mini movies are awesome, but Cher has done full movies where she isn't dressed in her underwear and had a long career as a tv star on the Sonny and Cher show. She has worn a ton of outfits and has an amazing voice. I mostly want you to see that what a person wears doesn't define their talent. Their talents aren't diminished by what they wear, or how they look either. Cher and her ilk are people too and they don't deserve to be torn down like this. Reba is a class act and part of the reason for that is how she treats others.

I still remember the first time I watched this video when it originally came out. My jaw nearly bounced on the floor at the explosion! This is still one of my favorites and probably always will be. Back in the 80s and 90s, we went to pretty near every concert that came to Baton Rouge, the home of my birth. We saw Ms. Reba three times! That was before concert tickets became as expensive as if made of gold or platinum rather than paper. smh
