Thanks so much Jeff for requesting this beautiful song. It's one of my all time faves as well. I can remember this video so clearly from back in the day; it really hit me then and it still does after all this time. And yes that lady can really sing! Thanks Don for the great reaction!

This song was co-written by Louis Prima who was King Louis (orangutan) in The Jungle Book. Reba will mark 50 years on the charts in 2026. Her first chart song was "I Don't Want to Be a One Night Stand" in 1976 and hit #88. You really need to listen to some of her early hits like "Somebody Should Leave", "You're the First Time I Thought About Leaving" and her First Number 1 song "Can't Even Get The Blues".

Thanks for reacting to "Sunday Kind of Love". I like it because it showcases the wide range of talent that Miss Reba has. I think I remember Reba told me it only took two takes to produce that song. Believe it or not, that was Reba's real hair in the video and not a wig. The song was written by little-known songwriters Anita Leonard and Stan Rhodes in 1946, the ritten by little-known songwriters Anita Leonard and Stan Rhodes in 1946. Reba released her version in 1988, she was 33. It is off her album 'Reba'. The song peaked at no. 5 on the country charts. Speaking of Etta James if you listen to her song "I'd Rather Go Blind" you'll see where Chris Stapleton got the guitar track for "Tennessee Whiskey"

Thank you Jeff for this great request. Reba sure has the range and pipes. Very different and bluesy. Don lives to fight another day.
