Economic conditions have changed radically, and they probably have too many bags in stock. So realising they have accepted too many they are making up reasons to reject. Plus automation means inconsistent messaging. But like you, I hate lies and if someone makes sh!te up to me, get themselves out of an inconvenient spot when telling the truth is only a bit awkward, then I cannot trust them to not lie into the future. So they're GONE. Gone. GONE from my life. Trust. If you don't have that, you've got nothing.

Omg! I have similar experience! Rebag refused my bag, they stated it has interior odor. No my bag has no odor. They just don’t want to buy my bag, as their Clair systems offer a higher quote than what they want! They refused another bag with no reason! They still not yet ship back my bags and I hope they don’t ruin them!

Wow, those bags are gorgeous! They obviously just didn’t want the bag for whatever reason but weren’t honest enough to say they didn’t want it so they made up something. Maybe they didn’t think the color was one that would sell quickly? Or they have a cash flow deficit. Omg! I just saw this post!!I ordered a Fendi Peekaboo bag from them and it is to arrive tomorrow. I had found the same bag from RealReal and it stunk and was missing the strap. I knew it didn’t have a strap but priced a replacement and it would cost so much more than the one Rebag sold that has the strap. They totally can do that. All day long. What made me mad in the original video was that they gave a bogus reason. They fully could’ve said they simply had too many, or given no reason at all. Instead they lied. Pure and simple. I based the trade with them originally accepting my bags (which had already been communicated). What they did is called a “bait and switch”. This is what upset me. It’s the shady and unethical way in which they did it. I’ve seen complaints on the BBB website where they have simply taken someone’s bag and basically told them to get lost, in other words, steal the item. People have reported them changing the terms of the deal by switching the item they bought to “final sale” after the item is mailed out. People have received damaged bags and items. Some people have even claimed to receive inauthentic bags! Their whole business model is built on lies and deception.
