Rebbie made that decision ever since she was 18. She really didn't want to get into the music industry. She believe in the traditional family -- marrying the love of her life, having children, and being a full-time mom and housewife. Joe was completely against the idea, and it took him a while to come around and approve of her getting married. Of course, it wouldn't be Joe Jackson if he walked her down the aisle, which he didn't. Although he approved the wedding, he wanted no part of it. Rebbie did put out a few songs, sure, but she was never in it for the fame like her brothers and sisters.

Rebbie only performs intermittently, she has been noted as saying she has never wanted to be a big start unlike her more famous siblings. Thats the only reason you haven't heard from her. She is a happily married family woman and mom. Staying out of the limelight probably kept her that way. That was her choice. Otherwise she would have been right up their with her more famous siblings, and would definitely have surpassed Janet in vocal ability. She could have had those same famous awards and been in the hall of Fame. She just didn't want that. This video, the look, the dance, the song, awesome and nicely retro.

Yeah I like Rebbie's Voice more than Janet to be honest, BUT Janet's voice is more unique in style. Rebbie's voice is a very soulful R&B Shanice-ish kind of tone and style. I like it. I can't believe she was in her late 40s here and after 3 kids omg. Janet did say in an interview with Oprah that she had such a problem with image and looks because she felt she couldn't compare to Rebbie cuz Rebbie was just so damn naturally pretty.
