Yes all the contingents that participate are from different regiments of the army. And one contingent from navy, air force and cost guard each also participated. The contingent of the bands may contain personnel from two different regiments some times. You get to know things more clearly in the original video.

Fun fact... Most regiments of Indian army were raised in British rule. We took it to next level... 1) That's some 4 Kms of parade. 2) Practiced for around 2 months. 3) The different uniforms are of different regiments and services of military and para military. 4) One last row of soldiers always look ahead so that they don't deviate from the marching line. 5) Soldiers looking right and tank barrels going right are an act of saluting President of India as he or she is Supreme commander of Indian Defence forces. 6) The motorcycle show is by soldiers of either BSF or CRPF two of the para military forces. It's not part of their ground duty. Motorcycle stunt is only for this parade. And this time they all were ladies not men.

So it is not just to be feared, but also loved and respected, as it is a force for goodwill and peace!! Nothing to be worried about, no need to feel scared when you see the Indian army, it is highly unlikely that India will attack (as we have a no-first-attack policy and only respond AFTER we've been attacked, as a means of defence).... We have defence forces to defend the country, not "attack" forces like some other countries do. It is by choice.

Hello, the Indians and Pakistanis both march in a manner they derived (and embellished) from their time spent in the empire. Totally different from than what I'm used to seeing (or marched). Watch any US Marine Silent Drill Platoon video, for an example of American "marching". Another completely different is the Chilean Military, during their Independence Day. Then look at the French Foreign Legion; they use much slower, 88 steps per minute pace (looks easy, but it's actually hard to get right). All take a lot of practice.
