I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this to you yet but near the end of filming the movie Lady Gaga recieved a call telling her that her best friend Sonja who had been diagnosed with cancer was not doing well. Lady Gaga drove nonstop to be by her friends side but was 10 minutes too late. Her friend had passed before she got there. Lady Gaga said that she kept telling everyone there that she didn't know what to do. Her friends husband asked her, "what would Sonja want you to do?" So Lady Gaga went back to finish filming this last scene for the movie. Bradley Cooper told her that they would get the scene in one take because he knew that she was mourning her friend. Lady Gaga said that she not only was singing for Jackson, Bradley Cooper's character, but that she was singing for her friend Sonja. I cry every time I hear this song 😢 Great reaction RVA!

FUN FACT - A Star Is Born with Barbra Streisand & Kris Kristofferson was not the original, it's the second remake. The 1st remake was in 1954, starring Judy Garland & James Mason, and the original came out in 1937 starring Janet Gaynor & Fredrick March. I think there even was a Bollywood remake in the 80"s also. I've never really been a fan of Lady Gaga, though I like a lot of her songs. She actually won me over when she starred in season 5 of "American Horror Story - Hotel" She was quite good, although I think the role really suited her. If you haven't seen AHS I highly recommend it. Well Ms. Rebecca, I hope you have a nice date night Nov. 7th!

Gaga is still improving on an already superb voice, she seems to have adopted more of a musical style voice the past years, i love it. The way she projects her voice and holds long notes and belts is awesome. + 10 years in the business and still improving that is quite uniqe and takes alot of hard work and dedication, so many artists go lazy with age. The voice that Bradley Cooper is doing in the movie isn't anything like his, he took months of vocal training to get the gravelly register & accent right. He also followed Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam around as he was the inspiration for this interpretation of the character. This movie is a remake of the classic 1937 film which has been remade four times, it was remade as a musical in 1954, then a rock musical in 1976 & now this one. I think the was also a foreign remake, India I think. Haven't seen this version yet.
@jeanblythe15954 жыл бұрын
Bradley Cooper based his character's voice on the voice of Sam Elliott, the actor who played his older brother in the film. Sam has one of the most recognizable, gorgeous deep voices ever. Bradley did a good job. But Sam can't really be duplicated.

That's not Bradley's true speaking voice. He studied Sam Elliott and that's the main thing that got him to agree to do the movie. Gaga sang this song literally right after leaving the hospital room of her best friend who just died after a long battle with cancer so those tears and emotion are real.
