Epic technician and strong as hell. Congratulations on the win. Also, at around 2mins, the next athlete (either going to her next attempt or coming back) is in her zone walking in front of the platform. Her coach notices Rebeka is about to lift and stops her - respect for your fellow competitors is missing in a lot of sports and its nice to see it in weightlifting.

Always impressed . I began to train myself for fun in weightlifting since 1 year now and I realise how strong she is. I am 35 y.o. 5'7'', 135 lbs and only snatch 135 lbs (61,4 kg), c&j 165 lbs (75 kg) and front squat (deep) 225 lbs (102,3 kg). And it seems almost impossible for me to think that I can really do much more. Good video.
@YouCallThataKnife2537 жыл бұрын
I'm also self-taught, and my max c&j is about the same as hers, except I am 215 lbs! So, don't feel bad, I think your numbers are pretty good :D
@Quis_ut_Deus7 жыл бұрын
Technic was and is always where I put my focus but I recently realized that we have to learn to work with power too and that is another way of conditioning the body. Before I was training with too much repetitions as if I did crossfit and now I do less but try with slightly heavier bars.

Already JR European Champion (for the third time), JR World Champion, and silver at the SE European Championships this year. Hoping she gets the gold at the SE World Championships in a few weeks, too, to cap off an already great 2017 :]

Why no belt snatch but belt c&j?
@steveberryman69897 жыл бұрын
For me, it's because I usually hit the belt since it's directly above the contact point, and to avoid it I have to intentionally help the bar drift away from my body a bit, instead of more directly upward. The weights are also farther away from the maximal amount I can pull off the floor (deadlift) as opposed to the clean & jerk.

Can anyone tell me what her coach is actually correcting? He does the same hand gesture in every video. And her movements are flawless. Ha seriously is it just an on camera gotta look like I’m coaching thing?
@marius_krm7 жыл бұрын
I think it is more of a reminding than correcting. e.g. reminding her to push straight up in the jerk
