Big announcement.
The Rebel Wisdom project is coming to an end, hoping to go out with a bang in November, with a plan to pollinate as many projects and spread the ideas and practices as widely as possible before then. Full outline in this video, and more details in the accompanying Substack newsletter: rebelwisdom.substack.com/p/re...
Our last event will be a wrapup in London with some of our favourite guests including Daniel Schmachtenberger and Ayishat Akanbi, with many more to come - book here: buytickets.at/rebelwisdom/718672
We will be hosting a live online event for our viewers to answer any questions and hear any ideas on 6th July, check out the details and register for this via the Substack newsletter.

I haven’t even watched this video yet but I would like to comment before viewing it. David you have had a massive impact on my life. I was a complete scumbag piece of shit, and while I’m still definitely struggling to be a, somewhat not so bad human, your channel has changed me a lot as a person. Looking inward and noticing my personal biases and scumbag tendencies has helped a lot. You have also lead me to John Vervake too. Thank you very much. You have been a massively influential person in my life and you have zero clue who I am 😂😂. The Internet is wild like that. Thanks for everything my brother. Peace

This channel has been hugely important to me in its first three years and I sincerely want to thank David and Alexander for all of their efforts and good work. Then, gradually, for me, the emphasis seemed to lie too much on "personal development" and sometimes a (to me) too high degree of abstraction on "the meta-perspective of the conversations we have". Then Covid-19 hit in and so did the war on truth and truth seeking. Here you guys sort of lost me. To me, Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying then took over the genuine search and tough struggle for truth and would say: they may eventually turn out the true wise rebels we needed, though we cannot yet be sure. Also UnHerd and Triggernometry increasingly grew into very relevant channels for our days. Nevertheless I feel gratitude for the beautiful video's you have made in the first couple of years, however sad I feel as well that since 2021 it seemed less about truth seeking than what I was looking for. David then too reactively and easily dismissing Mattias Desmet's (professor of clinical psychology at Ghent university) analysis of possible mass formation and mass psychology in our times (without correcting that, for as far as I know (please correct me if I am wrong)) sort of seemed to mark the end of the conversation on this channel...

I have deeply appreciated being part of this community you've created, attending and then weaving the conversations back into my own sphere of influence. Blessings on your new ventures. I concur that I would like to see more of what John Vervaeke is bringing somehow made more accessible. When I was learning communication, particularly oral communication, I was taught to tailor my speech to the grade 9 level. I realize that wouldn't be appropriate for John, but if there was some way to translate academic speech then perhaps this could reach beyond this corner of the internet. I'll be here, looking for more.😍💝💫

I have to say Rebel Wisdom was a definite introduction for me in terms of the cultural moment and in particular Jordan Petersons and the IDWs take on where we are and where we might be going. I was initially hooked on the content and lapped up JP....DM.....JGH......JV.......BW.........JW........KWs........thoughts and Meta perceptions and conceptions on evolution, the current moment and where it might all be going. I was fully engaged in the hegelian, jungian, integral, synthesis way of thinking and being in the world, and spoke from this place of security and suredness that this viewpoint was the one that was needed and should be followed for our times................but.............Rebel Wisdom never fully explored and expanded on the ways of thinking that Tyson Yunkaporta brought with his Sand Talk. This could have lead on to talks with Bayo Akomolafe, Timothy Morton, Bracha Ettinger, Erin Manning, Karen Barad, Brian Massumi to name but a few that never got mentioned. I get the feeling that these thinkers would have been too challenging to the developmental, integral, meta paradigm of RW, yet these thinkers are the very ones that will need to be engaged with if we are to be fully authentic and hold integrity within this unfolding moment in the culture. I hope that your seed dispersal will reach into the corners of these thinkers in the coming years. Go well David and Alex. 💚 Just to follow on from Carlos's point the We and I sñace

Thank you. Those words are not sufficient, yet I'm sure we all mean it deeply. You are both in fact true leaders. Rebel Wisdom of course will live on in the present forever, in your 'diaspora', which was always happening already. But RW is also 'historically' now important. I'm glad there will be some place for others to find the incredible content you've created thus far, and I feel it needs to be there to stand for itself. To all the contributors at Rebel Wisdom, I just want to say that I can`t think of a neologism abundant enough to express my gratitude to you guys who over the years have helped me to infuse my emergent conversations with new paradigms and complexity theory that have impressed my dead player friends no end. To be perfectly authentic, I must admit that the finality of it all has sent me into a meta crisis about my meta model. I am hoping that I can survive this meaning crisis, and that through coherent exaptation I can morph it into an experience of anti-fragility. But frankly, right now,I feel like I have a hole in my holon . I feel like my psychotechnologies have just crashed and my sense-making faculty is so unresilient that I don`t think I could hold the space for an epistemology session in a brewery. I fear that without the intentional liminal communitas embodied by RW I may become caught up in a Gated Institution Narrative (GIN) and I wonder whether I should hit the RUM (Rebel Unknowingness Meme) instead. Nevertheless I am confident that by binge-watching my old IDW, RW and Jargon Peterson vids I will be able to up my level of sovereignty and improve my coinage game thus eventually becoming a live player in game BS. Thanks.

What do you find effective pollination look like, is media the more effective “stream”, online courses, movies, documentaries, blogs. I feel we are working “behind” walls of intellectual scrambling for the mainstream, whom I am involved with, and I find it extremely difficult to confer these ideas with lower tier consciousness… What have you found the most effective in bringing AND supporting these ideas to the base line of common culture? Thank you

Iv Been along for the ride the whole way and some of the work has been fundamental in my journey .of all the podcasts I used to listen to it was only Rebel Wisdom I came to trust for well balanced , well thought out content with thinkers that opened my mind. Real , genuine pioneers. That being said I think this is a real classy move , at some point along the way I too sensed the rich seam had dried up, I came back every upload due to a loyalty built up fromthe older work and the content (whilst still interesting) started to have a less immediate affect on my life and my ability to prosper. I sensed it when it felt like every podcaster was saying the same thing over and over again . I think it’s noticeable that in the general zeitgeist there is only so many ideas floating about. I will never forget the valuable lesson when the rebel narrative inverted during covid and the heterodox space got caught with its pants down in the very same traps it accused the mainstream of . “We thought we could change the world with long form podcasting” , yes we did . I did. I preached it . I too had to turn to wisdom and deeper questions in private living them out in my own life away from endlessly proliferating ideas. Some rubber , had to start touching the road . Ecclesiastes 12 12-14 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.“ Peace out everyone .

As a less frequent listener to RW than many, I have become more confused about what RW is doing. It seems to have morphed into a philosophical ideology which you call sensemaking which may be interesting but what is its place in critical thought?

"The link between things, and the link between people, being more important than the disparate units" Hmmf. The links are no more or less important than the parts that are linked, the collectives created by the links, or the information exchange that the links facilitate. Why is it that there has to be one thing that is most important?

Dave, in retrospect has your support of mandatary vaccination changed? Do you still believe that any criticism of the vax programme should be censored as you stated during your Trigonometry interview?

If you were to do any epilogue content, hosting documentaries on the other spore projects as they develop could be a perfect fit, continuous with the RW format but with integrity to the fact that RW will be over.
