As Venerable Tsong Rimpoche once said: "Don't get involved. They can bring you down faster than you can bring them up." And HHDL once said, "If you cannot change the inner and outer obstacles, leave that place." As an old Akido saying goes, "The one sure way to win every fight is to not be there."

I empathise with difficult people because they are in a lot of pain themselves. But really sometimes they got on my nerves and shortens my lifespan coz the ones i am dealing with is too dark, stubborn and egoistical and overwhelmed my soul with their toxicity. I haven’t found the right way to deal with my own discontentment against such people. Rinpoche is right… giving them way too much power and credit!

Dear Master Rinpoche, This is valuable advice, particularly how those persons of intelligence bare more responsibility for their awareness, cunning and intellect. Than say the ignorant and the arrogant, or the othewise less aware, certainly unenlightened view. Those people who didn't know better aren't responsible in the same way for those people whom understand the suffering they cause, very important distinction for the achievement of enlightened awareness, I estimate. I heard that one of the buddha's only real challenges was that he could not convince another person to accept their desires as futile thru truth and compassion alone, it required action of the unenlightened. I also heard that the buddha could also not convince another person to accept that their bitterness, jealousy, etc was futile and misleading as to the availability of presence and happiness at each moment. This is proven by existence, otherwise, unless there are other reasons I have precluded, one might see more enlightened souls. For me I see sadness for the unenlightened is coming from their unawareness. For the buddha, the oracle and the depressed, it seems to me very much like their suffering is coming from the awareness. For example in the depressed, suffering and angry it is only a lack of acceptance of that responsibility to act compassionately and consciously to help others that haven't made the same fortunate realisation, seeing that compassion and truth does not override the will of an individual one, part. For want of a better metaphor, even if the oracle herself has become unwell , by refusing to stop spiritual-reading for example continuously, there will be the brain the disease and the tension and then the brain damage, the parkinsons, and the other states of unwellbeing that arise from more permanent states of disease, in the over utilization of the mind. Unfortunately western science is very much unfamiliar with eastern tradition and my writing which attempt to create a union with the scientific theory of the west and the easter traditions of enlightenment, no mind and gautam buddha from the east. They very much opposites in terms of their obtainment, one is seeking intellect, the other is escaping it. In the case of compassion, and the reduction of suffering I have also come to the conclusion that it is compassionate to stop helping another which only harms themselves and you by your intereference. Such a person is not ready for enlightenment, and whilst we can encourage them compassionately it should be done mindfully, i.e. not at the expense of the individual, the oracle, or the community which surrounds it, or the buddha field itself. This is a difficult subject to fully encapsulate but I really appreciated your lesson. It gave me insight into understanding what can be changed, and to remember that the will to help , or the will to not be helped requires greater consideration, and compassion, but most importantly of all requires an understanding perhaps of the place of which the person comes, and indeed ,will go upon encountering any perceived resistance to their unenlightened state. I have noticed that even when a person is compassionate if they are not careful they can create harm and great diseasiness, I have noticed that when some ego's see the enlightenment coming, it is the only reasonable response the buddha could expect. Though, I profess to know nothing, am a fool who has made all of these mistakes repeatedly. Which is the only reason why I came to comment for the experience is the only truth of the buddha, that is what I heard. I hope that it can be enlightenment for someone, Best, Adam
