I remember playing this game back in ye olden days as a wee lad and just having so much fun. I was hugely into Warcraft 1 & 2 back then and Lords of the Realm 1 & 2 felt right at home for us early PC gamers.

I literally still find myself when watching a scene with archers in a movie yelling "archers ho" (silently in my head of course). Haha

You know what...it probably is pull. I was like 14 when I played it last so I probably remember it wrong. Pull makes much more sense. Lol. Then again mabie they were trying to intimidate the enemy by calling them all hos. Lmao

The song, the changes of seasons, the voice of the characters and overall sounds of the game really just takes me back to 1997-1998 when I was a kid. I still find myself playing lords 2 - during my business meetings!

Oooooh! I had Lords of the Realm 2 as a kid. One of my favorites, if not one I was particularly good at. I could beat the Bishop at least, but... we'll, peasants aren't known for their longevity.

Seeing the 150 Saxon macemen available for hire was always such a treat…. I used them as “first encounter” armies, either bashing enemy peasant groups that would otherwise burn fields, or using their speed to run around main forces and gut the archers outta the back of large armies. And their voices were all so gung-ho

Haven't played it since the 90s. I think I bought it not long after we got our first home computer, a massive investment, in 1996-97 school year and it was win 95. Played civ and this back in the day.. after not playing in over 25 years I just wasted an entire day on my computer...... Welp that was fun. Maybe I'll play again when I retire. That's too addictive!

I played lords of the realm 2 a lot. Still play it from time to time via gog.com If anyone wants to play a spiritual successor to lords of the realm 2, then look up rising lords on steam. It's currently in early access but has a lot of the charm of older games. Even if the art style is more like that of battle brothers.

I played this on my PC decades ago! I had long lost the CD, but, thanks to the old file sharing services, I found a digital copy. I don't dare run it on my new laptop, but I do have a ten year old laptop that never touches the internet. So if that program does have a virus (Which gaming roms were notorious for), who cares. That old thing has nothing of value on it.
